Ballistic Coefficient - doesn't matter for hunting

28 Nosler isnt effected by gravity

Yes; but they still shoot away from the light. Since the sun and to a lesser extent the moon and stars are up, the light inevitably pushes or "Beats down" the bullet earthward. In the end drop will march in lock-step with TOF, because the longer it's in the air the longer the sun can shine on it.

;) Silly me. I blamed it all on going to the 'metric' system.

You will be better of just hunting with 280(or AI) and the spritzer version of the same bullet - you will get the same performance @200m but you get to keep your fillings, hearing etc...

Your family tree is going to end abruptly if you keep chewing on Rapala's...

Pretty partial to 160gr Accubonds in my 7x57's but I've always toyed with the idea of trying out a heavy round nose bullet - like a 175 gr round nose the cartridge was originally loaded with.

In my neck of the woods what does it matter if you hold two feet into the wind or three for a 50 yard shot? We treat our hunting like lawn bowling and curve them into target.

Better start looking. Hornady has already stopped making those. I have 4 boxes of those here and fat chance of finding more.

Neither Speer or Sierra offer them as well.

I've usually found the RNs to be good shooters.

Used a few in my 358NM with the following results.

I believe that Hawk still does, but you'd have to check. I have a half-dozen boxes of their .314 dia 215 gr for the .303 that I really like for moose in the thick stuff...

So......what you're saying is I need to start casting my own? The wife might be ticked but if the Internet says I have too.....

High BC bullets will add very little help in my hunting situation. On my hunting property the shots I make are between 50 to 250 yards across small openings or old fields. The surrounding bush line provides a really good wind buffer so these areas see modest winds during the November whitetail deer hunting season. The majority of days, in the morning/evening, are dead calm. In this situation Nosler Partitions work just fine to hit a 6 inch kill zone. NPTs are not known for their BCs ... :)
