If I am attending a range where I feel it is a "good idea" to wear body armor I think i would find another range.I totally understand the safety aspect and looking out for your own best interest.Sometimes there are no second chances.
However, some , and I am not saying the OP , can take something and run with it to the extreme , then next thing you know , for the sake of safety, EVERYBODY is required to wear body armor.
Far more firearm related deaths when hunting in this country than ranges , make it mandatory a long with a hunting license?
The , I got swept at the gun store crowd or a customer had a loaded firearm brought in ,so do you wear one for shopping?
Do you need one for the theater or your place or worship as these seem like great hot spots for disgruntled members of society to go on rampages?
Just sayin, if you want to improve your odds.
Personally , I won't be purchasing or wearing any but that is my prerogative and I also don't shoot at the local range, I go to my own spot.Only because there is nobody there and I can do all the testing and target changing I want and at my own pace.Oh, and I don't get swept, the RO is a bit of a #### though.
If you want to improve your odds, all the power to ya and commendable that you take to actions to do it.
