Banning Employees from wearing Poppies........

Preamble: i am a veteran and i dont personally shop at whole foods. I am quite far right on the spectrum.
I just want to mention that an article i read about this fiasco is that whole foods also forbade employees from wearing BLM materials, and anything else politcal- lefty sjw stuff included.
One could argue they are simply following an airtight dress code and trying to be apolitical.
Again, i dont support them, but i believe rational people will make the distinction between this and clearly political moves by other entities.

This is sickening. As it has already been been pointed out, the health/safety issues can be mitigated with poppies made with stickers, magnets etc.

It's not a H&S issue. The company prohibits wearing anything that, in their words, "makes a political statement". Their folly is the stupidity of thinking there is anything political about remembering the fallen.

Well said. I'm sure many of the employees will clock out and toss on their jacket with a poppy pinned to it and go about their day as usual.

Thank you sir for your service. Like I said in a previous post, this “dress code” thing is BS. I can assure you if the person that came up with that reasoning had been through the horrors of war, he would NEVER support this nonsense.

Let one group of employees support a cause while at work in uniform and you will have to afford every employee to do the same with any event or cause they support.

It's a slippery slope for an employer who has a dress code their employees sign

This is just amazon testing to see what will happen for implementation and more, into all its underlings.

I bet you that that company is not run by TRUE CANADIANS. Maybe those owners don't realize that they would not be owning this business because of all the war heroes who died to make this country totally. Otherwise they might sill be back in their mud huts in another war torn country.

I AM A BORN FREE TRULLY THANKFUL CANADIAN BECAUSE OF THEIR ULTIMATE SACRIFICES.

Admittedly I didn't read all the posts here, but there may be another angle in this. I know a food company near me that won't let you wear anything "non issued". Part of it is if that poppy falls into product, how do you ever find it. So in their case it is a sanitary issue. Just something to think about.

Edit after reading some more posts.. Stickers would not work in their case as they can't screen for them. An all metal pin might work as it should show up on scanners.

What a disrespect to the ones that did not have a choice and were slaughtered. Shame on the one who ordered such a thing

#### Whole Foods. Except their stirfry bar, but otherwise, #### them.

Looks like they backed down. Good, I could go for a stirfry.

The name "WOKE foods" makes sense. I went into one once, overpriced and over run with libtards who probably don't have the money to be shopping there anyway.
