The "Achilles Heel" of the Browning BAR is the Timing Latch. They batter the bolt head and have a tendency to shear the timing latch pin, locking the action.
But unless it's a survival situation it's unethical .IMO..........HaroldYou people are all crazy. You can take down a moose with a .22LR. After all, a guy on youtube said you could and people on youtube are experts.

Reason 998 why the Benelli is a better rifle design.

I have a Benelli Argo limited in 3006 and I just love it; easy to disassemble, dead accurate and you can easily adjust the stock right or left handed, height of the cheek and length...
Just got a great deal on a Belgiam made BAR 7mm rem mag. Not quite the .338 I had in mind but I am impressed with the ballistic of the 7mm. The action butter smooth and the rifle feels goob on my shoulder though not as perfect as my Benelli.
Thanks guys!
I like my 338 Win Mag for Moose or Elk.
My gun is Sako 75 SS with Leupold VXL 4,5-14 x 56.
