Hang on a minute!! Match barrels are almost always hand lapped by the maker with a non-imbedding lapping compound.
Commercial barrels are not lapped. The shoot-clean for 3 to 5 shots is the substitute for lapping.
Nowhere in the quote does it indicate hand lapped or "custom" barrels. However, even if they are it is of little merit. Other custom barrel makers have been quoted on this forum as well as other places as requiring a barrel break in procedure.
Again, any potential gain in accuracy due to a BBI process will easily be concealed by any number of other factors. Most importantly, the shooter, the ammo, and the current climate conditions. There is no appreciable gain to be had through a BBI process.
