A friend of mine recently purchased a rifle and he was hoping to find out what these markings are. It is built on a Sako action in .308 and is highly modified, the barrell reminds me of something on a tank- it's huge. Supposeively it was built by a Maritime gunsmith (possibly NB) years ago. It is a beautiful piece of work. The stamp on the barrell looks like this:

Don't know if this is a barrell maker stamp, gunsmith or what. The "MCM" is actually in a semi-circle. I am hoping sometime to get some pics of this rifle, it is really nice, and if I were to ever build a stock, I would seriously consider modeling it after this one. Appreciate any input.
