Several years ago I bought a Barska "tactical" 6-24x 44mm scope. I have only ever had it mounted on a Colt HBAR via a carry handly mount, and my 300 win mag.
I will never buy a Barska scope again, the paralax adjusment is terrible, and it's nearly impossible to get the crosshairs crisp. Not only that, but even on the "infinity" setting, the max range you can focus on a target is around 250 metres. The adjustment knobs are sloppy, and the adjustments themselves are inconsistent.
My 300 Win mag has only been scoped with the Barska. It's been wearing it for the last 2 years, because I've been busy spending my money on other toys instead of a new scope. However, I have no idea if the scope is reliable or not, or if the gun is pooched, because it shoots all over the place. Sometimes it's wide open, 8moa groups. Other times it will put 4 shots into a space the size of a nickel, then print the 5th 6" off.
My advice, if you don't want to go high end with your scope, go with a Bushnell.
Cheers.
