Parents got me a gift card for some turkey decoys....
Of course, the 3 pack for $29 is out of stock
Remcloth coat, great deal good value for $59 is out of stock....

I keep picking alternatives, they're all out!
What's up with these guys?

Im sure they have a pair of 70 or 80 dollar camo gloves or some stupid salt and pepper shakers you can spend your money on...... I'm with Guido the place is useless...

Bass pro's suppliers suck. I work for them and man we don't have anything especially for powders, ammo, reloading supplies. I shop at other vendors more often coz I would rather have product now than saving few pennies.

They can do what we call turbo order, basically special order, if you want something and willing to wait which sometimes can be months

This is what I have found as well. Bass pro is a clothing shop and that's about it. Out of stock is the normal and I no longer shop there. Ammo selection is sad on the good days. We can only hope they turn things around in the near future.

I have to agree. I was there last hunting season with a big wad of $ in my pocket, they had nothing I had picked out, nor even second/third choices. I picked up a hat and a plastic storage box and haven't been back. There is no excuse, they should know its hunting season and stock accordingly. Support your LGS!!

I agree, and most times the prices are not that good, only on the odd sale do they have anything good to offer.

Wait a few months. Its there big hunting sale now so everything is going like hot cakes. Add to that that hunting season is fast approaching. THings will quiet down come mid November.

Also, does there website accept gift cards?

Just hold on to the gift card something is bound to show up..

I gave my pops a bunch of bass pro cards in exchange for helping me roof my house. He could give back cash, cant give back gift cards! Anyways, we researched xbows they had, called them to verify stock then drove 2+ hours to get there. Ofcourse they didnt have what he was after or anything else he picked out before. He did however buy some goodies to use the cards and make the trip worth while. But still, it was uber annoying.

Cabelas is opening up in Buffalo ;)

I will, most likely, start calling their door-greeters by their first names in no time... :)

I predict that EVEN WITH the exchange rate difference, gas and duty, shopping junkets will still cost less in Buffalo vs Barrie. Not to mention the fact that the US store will probably be better stocked...

Your correct, last year they had some hunting boots advertized on sale at the Vaughan Mills store for $119.00, the exact same boots were $59.00 in the states.

Never ceases to amaze me, it's painfully obvious that we're getting gouged here. Next time BP publishes their online flyer for their Vaughan store just compare the prices to any of their comparable US stores in the NE US, always a 15%-30% price difference. Same goes for Cabelas Canada vs US, up to now I had to make the long trek to the Cabelas Dundee MI store, thankfully the new Buffalo store is only half the distance away from me.

Ive shopped in the Cabelas in Pa, and ordered a parka online from the U.S., they shipped the parka to me from the Winnipeg store, and charged sales tax on it.
