price was the only thing that the 97 had going for it when i was shopping for a bullpup but it lacked in those other areas enough to swing my purchase.

Is this really a serious question? Aside from the price advantage, what does the T97 have over the Tavor? Terrible optics options, bad safety and mag release, limited magazine compatibility, no ambidextrous support and Chinese construction.

Having only handled each of them is enough for me to say the tavor is far superior. The mag realease sucks and the charging handle placement is just silly on the t97. I felt like i was gonna bop myself on the nose racking the bolt with it shouldered.

Type 97 all the way the tavor is pure plastic the t97 uses a metal reciever not some polymer with steel rails

It's a NORC!!!!, I Have had 4 Norc's and all have been sub par. You get what you pay for, sad but true with Norinco and DA !!! but at $999 vs $2700 you can buy 2 and a truck load of ammo.

T97 vs Tavor is like a Norc AR vs Noveske kinda silly.
