It would be nice if everyone within reasonable travelling distance made a trip to Cloverdale. Show some support for the Organizers and Vendors. Think its the least we could do after all the BS they had to go through to make this happen.

Keep in mind that it is not a true "Gunshow".
It is a Rod and Gun show, and I was actually surprised to see as much gun stuff this year. Last year was really lame.
Also, I suspect that all the free publicity around it has brought in extra traffic.

Westen Rifle is there with lots of sks etc. but show as a whole is really small. Tiny compared to the Chilliwack show last month.

I was going to come down from Powell River tomorrow, didnt think they would allow the handguns, but when I saw no ammo either, I decided not to bother, wasn't interested in the fishing stuff, so doesn't make it worth while for me.

Not worth coming from PR. I came from Chilliwack and if it wasn't me looking for an sks I wouldn't have bothered.

I am not sorry that I made the trip. Some of my local customers dropped by - talked about new products coming. We have a Magneto Speed Chrono for a closer look at them - beats looking at them online. Come by my booth for special deals.

Agreed, Linda hepner is in over her head, why she wasted city councils time with this when there are daily shootings in Surrey is beyond me.

"Surrey Coun. Dave Woods, who had a 40-year career as a police officer and owns guns himself, said he asked for the restriction on ammunition when council was first discussing the show’s permit because “for me, where there are firearms and ammunition, there’s danger.”"

So how did he survive 40 years as a police officer with a loaded firearm on his hip? If they're that dangerous then hell why aren't cops being buried every week. I'm just a noob, but even I only load when I'm pointing downrange on a target.

The show will probably move to Langley and people will still get killed in Surrey. Nothing will change, except that good people will get pissed off. Now If we could somehow get stupid politicians banned...
