BC Rod & Gun Show - Surrey

I was there on Saturday shortly before noon. A lot of overpriced crap. $450 for a beat up 22LR lever gun from the 1990's? Good luck with that. I guess anything that was reasonably priced was snapped up Friday night.

Wrong they weren't allowed guns Friday night thanks to mayor Hereford,hope you at least signed the petition

Overall, I had fun, signed with the CCFR, bought swag and tickets from the other two organizations - and in general - show my support for the Rod and Gun show in disdain of Surrey's asinine policies.

It was fun, I made sure to sign the petition as well, visited with people I knew and had a good time in general poking around. These shows can grow into a lot better things if we show up and support them. I ended up getting a pretty good deal on some reloading gear from lodestar outfitters.

I was there on Friday. The guns were there, just no handguns or ammo this year.
Went again Saturday hoping some of the overpriced few that I liked would be lowered in price........no luck!
Signed petition so will hope the best for next year. I'll always support the efforts made in hosting gun shows as few and far between as they are.
At least now I'll have more $ to spend in Kamloops next week.
 
Was very disappointed I found the guns over priced or junk. I found guns cheaper in stores locally then at the show. I'm sorry to say it wasn't worth the $10
 
maybe the people who are running the show should ask everyone attending to use the same gas station just outside of surrey ( whiterock maybe ?) ?

and if possible the same thing with restaurants and hotels ......

or maybe

if it is in surrey , it is off limits , but heavily promote nearby gun friendly businesses outside of surrey.....

basically a show of force demonstrating the loss of economic activity the gun show and firearms owners brings to surrey ..... and how easily that prosperity can be moved next door .

You have to do your homework before you go .
Good deals at a gun show are like finding a needle in a haystack .
They are there if you look hard enough ;)
 
I took the whole family today. We had a great time. There was good deals on firearms at some tables and some were retail priced. My daughter won a free firearms course (RPAL,CORE). Since she is to young to take the course my wife is going to take it and get her pal.

I looked 2 days in a row nothing that ticked the box, oh well kamloops may be better for what I'm after bit of a hike from LML.
 
Lots of guns there all weekend.

Bought a LH .223 Rem 700 in an MDT LSS chassis for a smoking deal!!

And an ISSC .22lr for a very decent price as well.

A fairly small show but ok.

Shame on the Surrey Mayor & City council for banning the fast draw exhibition, restricteds and Ammo!!!

(P.s. - just an FYI, I did not see any groups of gangbangers there looking to illegally purchase firearms.
Only regular janes, joes and families)
 
I was there on Sunday with my son just to support the community...
He had a great time..
Was nice to hear the RCMP boss state on the radio that you don't need a permit or license of any kind to purchase Ammunition!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
What a dolt....

No I am wrong (My wife must never see this). somebody that didn't have their facts straight told me that,I had no reason to doubt them, Sorry my bad. I went Sat. For support . I went last year twice as many people .
