I think it is reasonable to call every day. They obviously don't process them in order. There is now way we could have as much variance as is reported here if they did. And the RCMP/CFP website specifically says, "The transfer transaction is typically updated in CFIS within a few hours, and the transferee can legally take possession of the firearms at that point."
Taking two or more weeks when the process should typically take a few hours isn't reasonable. And they've been like this for a year now.
