BCL 102 buyers remorse

Anyone get and read the "Calibre" magazine?

A few months ago there was a full page ad in it for the Troy 102...and it was still just a ####ty blue print/CAD photo!!! HAHAHA!!!

Also (to me) the fact that Troy isn't (doesn't want to?) "market" this to the USA...you know, a place where gun ownership and sales beats us 100 fold is a little odd/concerning...

Because it makes zero sense to sell it in the US as you can buy AR10/LR308 without lame CDN gun laws.

There is no magical point where the pile of issues often present disappeared. If NEA/BCL couldn't figure things out in a decade or more of making guns I doubt they ever will.

Not arguing they shouldn’t have their issues sorted out by now but they’ve been making guns for a little more than 7 years now. Hyperbole seems come standard in all of these discussions.

NEA was founded in 2008. I'm no math savant but that is more than seven years. I know I'm splitting hairs since not all of that was spent making complete guns but yeah...

buyers remorse no way, i just bought a bcl 102 gen three last week. read all the posts about problems and went ohoh i f##KED UP. Cleaned and heavilly lubed areas as prescribed, put a bushnell custom gold i picked up on sale for 199 bucks . Went to range today using tula steel cased ammo 180gr soft point.shot 25 yards to put on paper only 1 hole. damn i must have flyers. go look at target hmph 3 shots 1 larger hole. moved to 100 yards of bench no rest same ammo 2 touching and 1 inch left. she at 200 rounds today and i got a big smile on my face. ill be shooting again in a few days with same ammo and post pics.also bought th 6.5 upper for it and will try in a few days. so am i
lucky or is the newer ones better.if this gun keeps as reliable as its been no hiccups so far im keeping it and would like to shoot against others that think there junk. i do have other ars and two ar10s i use and two put away still new in the box.but there is no buyer remorse for me and makes me beleive there are a lot of stag arms fan boys here. and a couple of more weeks ill call you out for shoot. For a factory gun no mods i have a gem.one thing the gun was supposed to be black but mine is almost dark grey which i rather like.it is heavy but absolutly no recoil.even some of my 223s kick more than this 308.im not a fan boy, but i hate people knocking nocking things that they hear on the internet was from a buddy whose uncle best friends cousin sister you get the idea has an opinion. im not arguing if there were problems but might be that the new owners are working at solving them and if this gun is not a one off ill buy another .ill just need more time with it .

I feel for the early guys, sort of buying the first new model of a car before you get bugs out.But our hobby always makes people to get the latest and greatest.you see im not knocking the stag ten but not knocking the bcl either.the bcl is what it is for the price point it comes in. for some people there is a price point difference.it just like the cheaper ruger predators and savages that have out of the box accuracy unheard of just ten years ago.as long as the stag ,bcl and others continue to improve and other options for n/r firearms quality will just get better. i do agree about the forged uppers and lowers in 7075 and better parts ,most my ars internals are more expensive than a whole new gun.i will hopefully be hunting with the bcl for moose ,deer and bear this year .Will probably try out a stag in future as lately ive fell in love with these new sporting arm platforms and the versatility to tweak the guns to my own tastes, .

3) There have been a couple off issues with misalignment of the barrel extension/feed ramps which has caused or could cause a detonation along with feeding issues etc. 6 guns so far have had this. The cause they believe has been home builds and people changing the barrel or flash hider and twisting the barrel without holding the barrel in place. Could this be related to softer aluminum/not anodized? Could be along with incorrect installation.

Please note the inspection notice states:

“INSPECTION REQUIREMENT: Through warranty service requests, it has come to the attention of Black Creek Labs that six (6) BCL102 rifles have been confirmed to have a barrel assembly that has come out of alignment through “normal use” and/or by the removal or attempted removal of a muzzle device without the use of a reaction rod,1 and through the build up of BCL102 receiver sets with third party parts.“

I am the OP of the BCL 102 Catastrophic Failure post and I did zero modifications or changes to it shy of replacing the POS stock that comes with it. Pretty sure I was number 6. I bought it March of this year and it had a 2018 date on it. I believe it was a Gen 3
