Bcl 102 FTE

Sorry not to hijack the thread but on mine after shooting a round it ejects but the bolt doesn’t go all the way forward. There is an 1/2” to inch from closed. Is that undergassed? I have an adjustable gas block so maybe just needs more gas?

Oil/lube the crap out of the BCG (including cam pin). Not an undergassing issue if it ejects and picks up a new round.

Never mind, still having the FTE issues. New extractor did nothing for the STG58 ammo. Again, after round 2 of testing FTE every odd shot. Could this be a gas issue not moving the BCG back far enough to eject the brass? Involved with BCL warranty but at what point do I say enough is enough... stag 10 starting to sound real sweet these days lol

I would have to agree, however, I have read many others have had no issue firing a smaller grain round. Would anyone have a suggestion on a buffer spring?

I have a question for you, will it eject a round manually. As in, if you try to eject a snap cap will it? Mine sure won't. I have already tried the new extractor kit from BCL and am pursuing it further.

Plan to pick up some snap caps this weekend. I found that the higher grain rounds no issue, but 147 was... lacking the push to get the BCG back fully. Could be extractor pin too, or rings. Emailed BCL support again... but no answer. Frankly ready to send it back for a refund. I’ve learnt my lesson, got my pee pee slapped and will buy dependable next time.

Check and see if the head of the cam pin is chewing on the recess in the receiver. If it is, just knock the corners off the head with a file/sandpaper.

It did for the first few, afterwards it would just sit inside the port.

I would suggest filling out a warranty request again with black creek labs. My gas rings are shot after a couple hundred rounds and am having poor ejection with low powered surplus ammo. Emailed BCL and they promptly shipped me out an entire BCG assy. They seem to be willing to address any issues with these rifles. I would give it a second chance!

Started trying to semi zero my BCL 102 at 100 yards today, using 7.62 S - Patonen / StG 58 rounds. After about 7 rounds, nearly every second round and a few simultaneous rounds FTE. They pretty much chimneyed in the extraction and a few sandwhiched themselves in. Could this be a round issue? Gas adjustment maybe? Extractor issue?

When did you purchase it? There was a batch in late August that had stove piping issues.

Mine is definitely having issues with stove piping, not ejecting last round. Chews the ####e out of my brass. I took some slow motion videos, it sure appears to be heavily over gassed. I’ve tried multiple grains, factory and hand loads. More lube than a #### movie Only other option seems is an adjustable gas block I suppose. Will BCL send me BCG rebuild kit?? The cam pin is getting hammered and the firing pin retaining pin is getting bent and I have to rotate it.....any ideas? I love the gun,but its having growing pains right now.

Buffer spring and a heavier buffet?

I have to say that my BCL102 is fantastic, it has never had a challenge, less than .75 moa. But the only part that is still BCL is the upper, lower receiver and buffer tube and spring. I changed everything else. These can be really good rifles, but not with BCL factory parts other than receivers

Will these unsavory repeated facts on this brand ever end? ...sad really...must feel for the owners who shelled out retail for a rifle which requires replacement parts on a new item....just to get them to WORK correctly...

Perhaps the Co. can correct the name to BOAT102....Break Out Another Thousand 102....

Purchased Late April, Received Late Sept.
I agree, purchase something at this price was a big thing for my household, sure would have loved to have used it hunting this year. Now the lengthy warranty process. Emails go unanswered for a couple weeks. Waiting for answers before I ship it to BCL.

Any updates on this? Curious as I'm having similar issues and no response from BCL either.
