pin play should be .002 if I remember correctly. I will get Ramy to machine my holes out to the DPMS pin size so that way it will be a perfect fit.
Its called ; figure it out on your own![]()
So Far Gen 1 is the only one that takes everything without fitting. All my parts I used had zero fitment issues.
I have a warrenty claim in for the take down pins. They are so loose its not funny. I have DPMS ones on order from Brownells but they are B/O
The holes on my BCL 102 are all over the place. Ill drill them all to .275 and install new pins if the crap BCL send me doesn't fix the issue.
Front lower hole .2495
Rear lower hole .248
Both upper holes .250
Both pins are .2415

So the pins are some weird proprietary size. The pins are as thick as regular AR15 pins but longer so regular AR10/LR308 pins won't work without expanding the holes on the receiver...great. Thanks for the measurements Dilli.

Nope they should be .250 like every AR pin. BCL has yet to respond to my emails... lol...
Gotcha, I guess my dilemma is where to source the appropriately sized pins from anyone other BCL (I don’t want to use ANY of their parts for my stripped receiver) Before you posted your measurements I just assumed they were using LR308 pins (.276 diameter) but now I see they are using .250 diameter pins or attempting to based on your measurements lol. So who makes .250 diameter pins of appropriate length for a 308 rifle? Can’t recall how many times I’ve email BCL about this with no effing response. Gonna email Armalite and ask what diameter their AR-10 pivot/takedown pins are and post back what they say unless someone here already knows the answer...
ArmaLite AR-10 front take down pin, 0.273
ArmaLite AR-10 rear take down pin, 0.273
This was just measured on mine.
Hope this helps

I measured my Gen 1 pins and holes with some pin gauges and calipers
Upper .250 both holes
Lower front hole .249
Lower Rear hole .248
Front pin .241
Rear Pin .241
Thanks for that! That seems to confirm what I have been reading. For all intents and purposes most LR308/AR10 rifles use same sized pins. As to why BCL would choose to use
different sized pins is beyond me. Maybe this is a new feature? Makes disassembly more high-speed low drag like a North American Mountain Lion
∆∆ wow that thing is barely there!! ∆∆ how much does it weigh?
