BCL 102 stripped receiver set thread

The Gen 1 are forged receivers. Thats why I wanted one. Il be taking care of the cosmetic stuff and will be getting my set anodized :)

Gen 1 are the only ones that take aftermarket parts without modification.
Gen 1 receiver sets are the cats meow for guys that dont want all the ambi junk
Gen 1 receivers look the best IMHO

So I got what I wanted, Ryan texted me a bunch of close up pictures before I committed to buy. So I know the flaws and was OK with them.

Finally got the unicorn ah ! kinda lost count but you're going for the bcl collection museum now, still got the second wave gen 2 full rifle and stripped third wave set ? ahahaha

Nope No more Gen2 wave for me.

So Im taking this Gen 1 rifle that has the new CH and BCG and will be reinstalling all those parts on my Gen4 Stripped receiver set. lol...

All I ever wanted was a Gen 1 and I got it. So this guy is pretty happy... Now If I can get myself a ATRS MV-s life will be good.

Bah it's not a bad move you're doing the ar building left over drawer with the stripped receiver and resale ? Cant wait to see your final results.

Ill have something together next week. :) minus BCG and Barrel, those will be here in august. man I cant wait..

Ill be taking my 102 on my last spring bear hunt in BC. :-(

How does the SLR Helix handguard, Fulton barrels and BCG fit the Gen II? I hear it fits well with the GenI but I know the upper and lowers are different between GenI and GenII as mentioned in previous posts.

JP BCG will not work with the Factory BCL gas tube, will not allow the bolt to close. Had to replace mine with SLR mid length gas tube before bolt will close. Mid length was to match barrel gas port

How curious. I recievesd my JP LMOS yesterday. Stripped the bolt and checked headspace, all good.
No problems with the gas tube /gas key interface.
Just checked both bolt carriers side by side and gas key position is the same.
Haven't fired yet but I don't see any isssues.

Anyone else?

This is the original gas tube from the BCL, I put it in the BCL BCG and marked how far it went into gas key

Here is the gas tube in the JP Low mass BCG, you can see the difference, this is the Gen 2 BCL102

Was there a range trip with the rifle in the original OEM configuration?

And what is all over that LMOS BCG?

No, never wanted this as a .308, I changed everything to make it a reliable. 338. I just tried putting the JP BCG into the rifle in OEM state and found the problem.
I put in the JP to reduce felt recoil and because of the QC problems people have had

Just an idea to throw into the pot. Once we get a clear list put together of what fits in what, we could see about making this a sticky in the black rifle page. I'm sure people in the future will keep coming back and asking the same question so having an easy place for info might do some good. again just an idea

Agreed

I am seriously pondering selling off the stripped receiver set I ordered and have not yet received.
I do not think I will have time to tinker.
