BCL 102 stripped receiver set thread

As for as getting parts goes, Brownells is the only way to go if you are going to order from the USA, they ship to Canada.

Be prepared to pay some shipping and duties and taxes, but at least you get more choice.

At the end of the day, this BCL102 build is going to cost me more than what I would have paid for a complete rifle. At said and done I am looking at $2400.

On the plus side, I will have my rifle configured exactly the way I want it.

I like my rifles to go bang.. every time I pull the trigger.
Some of you guys are worst than women, maybe you should get matching cerecote for your nails ... lol

Looking to swap to an a2 fixed, anyone have a lead on suppliers for kits? Brownells doesn't seem to ship over $100 without exporting docs, which we all know isn't happening.

You can order up to $500 from brownells. They just send you a paper to sign.

If you use an A2 reciever extension, be advised that it is possible that the tube will not retain the buffer retaining pin. I had to go with a jp captured buffer due to this. I made some related posts in this thread.

I can confirm that. I ordered the brownells A2 extension and it is one or two turns too short. The end of the extension stops right at the edge of the retainer hole. Anyone know of a A2 extension that will work? I want to run a PRS.

The Gen III PRS stocks will fit over a Carbine or A5 length reciever tube. I now run a V7 carbine tube on my Modern Hunter, so I can easily switch between a PRS & CTR stock. I plan on doing the same for my BCL102. I won’t bother with a buffer retainer, I’ll run the JP SCSS like I do on 5 of my other rifles.

I started putting together my rifle. The upper went together fine aside from the radians charging handle needing to be fitted.

I'm working on the lower now and I've encountered two problems so far.

1. My rear takedown pin doesn't fit, it's too large (it's from a CCMG lower parts kit). What did you guys use?

2. I stripped the screw for my trigger guard, I haven't been able to get it out myself. I think it's a gunsmith job since I don't want to risk damaging the lower.

I had the same problem with my rear takedown pin from a ALG / Geiselle kit. I forced it and it is doing what it needs to...... but I should have gotten a drill bit the correct size and chased the hole. Good luck!!!

Can’t help with the screw head stripped, but if you are not confident I would refer to a gunsmith.
