BCL 102 wear marks

Over the last few cleanings I noticed fine metal shavings/dust on BCG and inside the receiver. On closer inspection I noticed this.

Best I can tell is its caused by the bolt cam pin.

Does anyone else have these marks?

Also, I noticed when I first got the rifle that the cam pin is different from an AR in that it doesn't rotate before removal. It just goes in/out straight. But since there was no owners manual I assumed it was correct.

No owners manual? That sucks. Some of us are new to the AR firearms. Would figure the company would at least send an owners manual. I don't want to mess up and do something that would cause failure or damage.
 
My rifle. I do not have the same wear point at the dust cover, but it is hard to see what you are showing in your pic. Is that INSIDE the receiver?

My BCG looks fine, some finish imperfections but that doesn't phase me.

The firing pin wouldn't go into place if you got it wrong... And the cam pin wouldn't go in if you got it wrong... If you pull the bolt back & forth, you will see that rotates & it is locked in place with the cam pin.

He's showing the pocket on the inside of the upper receiver where the cam pin has space to rotate as the carrier moves backwards.
 
I don't see anything in the pics that would be cause for concern. As long as nothing is binding, I would attribute this to normal break-in. If it makes you feel better, you can take some material off the cam pin, but I wouldn't bother.

I know, right? I mean, those tiny little fingers are great at manufacturing some of the smaller parts. You think they'd be up for some printing and binding as well...

Going from memory as my daughter is asleep on my lap & I can't move, chuckle.

If you pull the firing pin cotter pin, drop the firing pin & spring out, then you can remove the cam pin. I don't recall if it needs to be rotated. Frig, I wish I could get off the couch! HA HA

Mine doesn't need to be rotated, and on other direct impingement firearms I have owned (like 2 lol) I don't remember having to rotate the cam pin to get it out, it is the firing pin that keeps it captive.

So... Mine has this mark as well. Doesn't look like excessive wear, but doesn't look awesome either. I have 300-350 rounds through mine so far. The bolt and cam pin look fine, just the receiver near the recess. I hope this is as far as it goes. Might have to take advantage of that warranty :p

In doing some quick reading this seems to be a normal wear thing for AR type rifles. If you google cam pin wear about 10000 images pop up of this exact thing.
 
Yup, its normal break-in folks, read about 15 forums on it and armchair enthusiasts and manufacturers alike say it is break-in.
