INTRODUCING THE MRX MAG
The MRX Bison is the only rifle in the world that feeds from both a proprietary 20 round bolt action magazine and an AR15 magazine. The ability to function with any AR15 magazine gives the user an almost infinite number of options for magazine brands, capacity, material and style. Alternatively, “The MRX MAG” gives the user a 20 round capacity in a magazine that is specficially designed for the MRX Supershort Action and will not fit or function in an AR15 or any other semi-auto
rifle.

The MRX MAG is a double stacked, straight magazine made from a proprietary blend of polymer. The MRX MAG has extended length feed lips and a no-tilt follower design that allows ultra smooth and reliable feeding. The MRX MAG uses “follower stop ledges” which keeps the follower from topping out, which allows the MRX Supershort bolt to be manually pushed forward when the magazine is empty and still in the rifle, which is not possible with an AR15 magazine.

• 20 round capacity allows the magazine body to be a straight design without bullet binding

They have the notches so they cannot fit in AR15 magwells, so they should be uncapped, as they are exclusively for a bolt action rifle

That is partially why I decided to buy this platform. If the Guberment goes after AR magazines because of AR ties, going to be lots of AR magazine only rifles being loaded as single shots....

Now the real question is whether there is a CAD diagram being distributed to companies like MDT to make changes to their chassis that would allow the use of this magazine - forwards compatibility, if you will.

Or, a template for individuals to file or dremel or otherwise hackjob their own chassis on bolt action rifles to make the rifle compatible with the magazine. Modifying the magazine, no bueno, modifying the rifle, si, fuergo.

I think this is why BCL made the magazine well so meaty, other platforms may not have enough material to work with.

Welcome to the folly of gun legislation in Canada...... "this 14" barrel is prohibited due to a late stage surgical procedure, while this similar 14" barrel is acceptable as it was born that way. or This 10 round magazine is prohibited, but this one is good to go.... It's unfortunate that common sense trust and respect are in short supply.
