Too bad they didn't drill if for multiple mounting options...for the price and considering the time they had to develop this pistol, it is another let down in the BCL saga.
On a positive note I took mine to the range and it did not disappoint. Shot 100 flawless rounds. Its super accurate. I love the weight and the feel of the aluminum lower. I let a few members try it out as well and they were impressed with the over all feel and shooting experience.
The trigger and barrel are Shadow Systems and I am a huge fan as I have several Shadow System pistols. The trigger will lighten up after approx 200 rounds. Right now its breaking at 4.50 pounds give or take. My other Shadow Systems pistol triggers are approx 3.5-3.6 lbs. The barrels are exceptional. Anyone who has one will find that its an exceptional shooter IMHO. I have a spare stainless guide rod and a lighter 13lb Zev spring that I will be using on my next range trip. It comes with a standard Gen 3 Glock polymer guide rod and 18 lb spring.
Other than the length of time it took I am very happy with it.
Thanks for sharing your review after taking it to the range. Hoping to shoot mine next week. Can you point me in the direction of a metal guide rod? doesnt have to be stainless. Cheers!
Took mine out, it ran like absolute garbage for about 150 rounds before things somewhat improved to 250.
Needs more run time but i was having issues with first round chambering and the slide failing to return to battery. One light strike because if that as well. Runs better with 124gr at least.
Pretty mid experience, reminds me of a GSG 16 so far.
Since this gun is a mix of BCL and Shadow Systems I am breaking it in like I did my other Shadow Systems pistols. They have a video and explanation on their you tube site - Shadow Systems Technical Tuesday https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h1O4WUeTykA&t=6s. Basically they advise to run the firearm a little more wet then normal due to the tight tolerances. Due to the FoxBat having Shadow Systems trigger group, rails, barrel and I assume most if not all the internals are Shadow Systems it wouldn't hurt to watch the 3 min video.
Shadow Systems have a 200 round break in on their firearms so I would assume this one would be similar and that's why you were getting improved results after the 200 round mark. Here is their video on "Break in Period" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r9xyl7TMHQs&t=13s
I hope things improve for you.
You said Shadow Systems a lot in that post. Makes me miss mine.![]()
