But paying shipping to BCL will cost the same. again why is BCL not covering shipping on defective guns ? lol...
Exactly... Not going to pay to send it back to them only to have them half ass the repair or just say "there's nothing wrong with it".

It's been a week, and BCL hasn't even acknowledged my request... This is off to a bad start.
How many ARs have you had prior to the 102?
How many AR-10?
Something tells me part of the 102’s bad rap is the...drivers.
As a STOCK gun, something was amiss... the 'driver' has nothing do to with it. It wouldn't cycle correctly with a hand fed round in the chamber, no mag. How many variables are in that one eh?
bcl = joke.
After all the months of delivery features and qc features, and the like....
Live and learn....we trust..

I am having issues with the bolt not locking back on the last round.
I've only tried the Aguila (works great) and hand loads.
If I load 48 grains of CFE 223 behind a 147 grain Campro, the groups open up but the bolt finally does lock back on the last round.
The reason I am thinking it is over gassed is the more powder I use, the worse the problem gets. Almost as if the bolt is moving too quickly
No ####.Must be the old QC guys new job...
When using Aguila is the bolt locking back? Is it just the handloads that is causing the bolt hold open failure?
What magazines are you using? Is it doing it with all mags?
Have you inspected the hold open? Are the magazines engaging the hold open.
It sounds to me like it is short stoking, and while I’ve never used CFE223 never mind in .308, it looks like there are way better choices of powder. I’d look for one that optimizes the powder volume (uses less weight per charge) and has the greatest spread from min. To max. Charge.
It is also possible your bolt is cycling too fast with the higher charge volumes and the bolt is moving forward past the bolt hold open prior to the magazine spring having time to impart the necessary pressure on the hold open to catch the bolt.
There could be a number of fixes required (better mag springs, combined with unbinding of a sticky hold open, improving the travel of the hold open), but I’m betting the best route is to choose a better powder with a slower burn rate for your ammo
This one?

I’m confused. Sounds to me like the story in this thread isn’t adding up to the one in your for sale ad.
Was the rifle not functioning properly before or after it lost its ‘special’ feeling for you?
The issue is I have a lot of CFE 223 that I bought for this purpose...
Also, it is advertised for use in .308 and many rant and rave about how great of a powder it is for the cartridge. Lastly, my friend has a BCL102 and his functions perfectly with the same loads. To me, this is a gun issue. Not a powder issue.
Yes, CFE223 might be ok for .308, but It might not be best for an auto.
If you had a bolt action rifle in .308 I’d recommend maybe keeping it for that.
If you friend has a 102 and it is functioning fine in comparison, why not compare the two rifles? What’s different on his or what he is doing that you are not?
And what about the rest of the questions I had?
The two guns are identical. Nothing aftermarket to speak of. I suppose I could check and see if his colt catch engages anymore than mine does.
Hahahhaah. Ive owned Ars from Colt Canada to NEA and everything in between. NEA is even worse than Norinco. Look at the machine mark on post #24 . for 2 K that shouldn't be there... And that was painted over. imagine if it was blued...
All the issues with stock 102's posted on this forum over the last few months are mind blowing, From loose barrels to rifles that dont even run out of the box, lowers with blown out pins and cant forget out of spec parts and machining thats passed off as " Features " ....
The only reason these are selling is the NR status. It sucks that someone has to drop 300$ on parts to fix a gun thats brand new. But paying shipping to BCL will cost the same. again why is BCL not covering shipping on defective guns ? lol...
And I cant remember what member sent his rifle back to BCL but they didnt even fix it properly.... hahahahahha
