BCL102 presale

That's a debate i am running right now, even if i purchase now, i likely wouldn't be hitting the range with it before snow melts.
If a new gen with bugs worked out comes out in the meantime, i will be stuck with an older gen.
This is in my situation, if i could hit the range asap with it i'd prebuy now

I don't know what bugs people are waiting to be worked out. I have a BCL102 in OD Green from the first run, and the only thing I have done is dropped in a Triggertech trigger. The rifle performs as one would expect, and accuracy is dependent on ammo selection. I have had no failures to fire, eject or feed, even using Barnaul ammo.

Such a terrible time to release this pre sale... 13 days before christmas. looks like im not as selfish as i thought cause im going to have to pass on this one and be in on the next one.

I didn't say there we're some bugs, just in the event.
No point buying now, sit in safe for 4 months and shoot after.
Might as well buy in 3 months, and only wait a month before shooting.

This and as previously mentionned, bad timing with holiday season.
Just want to make sure not to miss out on anything good with my wife while on vacation, or yet worse pay for an activity using credit

My mouse finger is twitching, going back and forward on SFRC site haha!
This is killing me, just got calibres new magazine, will read and see

Not everyone has been quite as lucky

Yes the gas rings were worn, but the rifle still functioned without any hiccups.

Gas rings are cheap but how many times do you want to replace them before they wear the inside of the carrier smooth enough that they last as long as a regular AR-10 does from new? Just another of the little issues/bugs someone buying a brand new rifle shouldn't be bothered with. If it was just one it wouldn't be a big deal but there have been a few and less than 100 rifles in customer hands.
NEA was well known for making a decent rifle with bad QC and a great warranty, hopefully BCL steps things up and wants to change that to great QC and not needing the great warranty.

Mine shows the symptoms of the gas ring “issue”, however mine hasn’t had a hiccup. I will probably replace the rings, but not because it needs to be done for functionality...

They have rectified that issue as they mentioned in the article.

No one ever berated NEA on warranty. And BCL did a huge job on getting NR AR-10 approved. Kudos to them for that. But why have QC issues on domestic firearm to begin with? It’s not design bugs, it’s just some schmuk not doing his job right.

Did they have a first gen rifle for the article?
Next presale is gen 2 and rectified?

They had one of the first batch for the review. There is no Gen 1 or Gen 2. The current ones being shipped or presold are the ones with the ambi bolt releases and a few tweaks suggested after the first batch.
