BCL102 presale

Round 1 of BCL and now the Type 81 fiasco and people are still jumping all over the "pre-sales" eh?
I like to imagine if I wanted to buy a new guitar. But the guitar wasn't even built yet. It's "in development". I can't play it. I can't hear it. I can't feel the action or the shape of the neck or how it fits my body type etc
Except Beaver Creek Labs who is going to make the guitar wants me to put money down or they won't build it thus I can't have it. Oh and if you're not happy with it, there is restocking fees etc and you have to pay return shipping out of pocket.
If I apply this business practice to any other commodity, I take a step back and think to myself "I would have to be a fool, desperate or both at the same time to think this would be a good idea".
Will be watching round of 2 of this carefully.

Never ordered anything custom then. I've paid over 7K for full out custom saddles for my horses. You pay, ,they build and then you get it. While this isn't a custom rifle, it is new and there is a cost to being an early adopter. Or just wait until they are on the shelves.

I liked what I saw with the revision of the BCL 102. I really liked what I saw. The first one looked regular AR10 which I am also a fan of. This newest one looked really good. Like some thought has gone into it along with money and time. A few other things on it also made me feel confident in the product. If I get burned, then well it's one of those lessons I guess. But I'm willing at this point to take a risk. I wasn't earlier. But now I am.

Ordered in FDE.

You're only reserving a place in line with your full advance payment. Yes, you'd have to be desperate and/or a fool.
If no one paid they would still build them, only difference is you be able to hold one in a retailers store prior to payment.

Lol people are giving their money to NEA

The Gen 2 is way more refined and also boosted my confidence for my order. But will still double check everything im keeping JIC ;)

The wait is down to a month or two now from the pre-order. Not a big deal. Waiting a year or so and yes it's an issue. But if buying now for the end of January/beginning of February bothers you, then so be it. I order parts from the US all the time that take about a month to arrive. Never been an issue to me.

i ordered august 6th, no rifle yet...

Well Ryan just said there is no Gen 1 or Gen 2, just changes as suggested which so far sound cosmetic. Why the #### would you want to fix the issues when you have suckers lined up around the block to buy their wares?

And they have started shipping those out for the second pre-sale. Getting less and less wait expected between orders. Plus didn’t they say they were in the process of getting more machines before your pre-order? Last but not least look at the changes they made inbeteeen the first and your order. Worth the wait.

My timing was calculated. Iop and I’m expecting a ramp up in production with pre order time being less and less until they are on shelves. Could be wrong but that’s how I was seeing this play out.
