BCL102 Upgrade Question

Would anyone be interested in us offering upgraded 102's?

We'd offer them in a Magpul PRS stock, Magpul grip and with a TriggerTech trigger installed?

If we do this they would be offered to people on the presale list first.

It's just a thought at this time but we can make it happen if people want.

i have this gun setup just same way you want to offer it with scope and red dot love it i have pics or some video of it shooting if you want to see them PM me

I was able to get a dpms 308 A2 stock to fit by turning down the shoulder that stops against the heal of the lower. This allowed enough threads to capture the buffer retaining pin. Looks sharp.
Ten minute job.

Hello Ryan. I would be interested in having a trigger job done to my pre sale 102.
I’m not really interested in the stock though. How would I go about Having this done.??

It's a .308 DPMS A2 stock kit. Comes with full length buffer and spring. I'll function test it tomorrow.
The tube itself has to be modified to engage more threads on the lower receiver as to catch the buffer retaining pin.

I am interested as well. what would be rough cost?
The trigger alone is 300, stock 300, grip 30.

Oh, also, those who ordered March 28th, is considered Pre Sale 3? (or 4?)

I think MANY of the BCL 102 owners will be using this to hunt, and compared to the traditional hunting rifles we used, we are adding 50% of weight to our firearm.
In short, I think many of us would be interested in mods that help accuracy, and reduce weight.

There is also a lot of missing information on the current gen BCL 102s...
I hear;
-barrel has changed since it's release (What can we expect on those who ordered March 28th?)
-Handguard has been changed and is now lighter
-Some people had mediocre triggers, others say it is fine.
-Almost every owner says the stock is very loose / "rattly"...
-New charging handle specs for aftermarket ones?

Personally I want a good trigger, as light as possible without mortgaging the house, and MOA accuracy with a hunting round. (Hopefully Barnes TTSX)
And no rattling while I carry it through the rough stuff.

You can also use a JP Silent Captured Spring and eliminate the buffer retaining pin. This also allows you to change between rifle and carbine buffer system.

That's 20oz, the weight posted in the faq is 16oz. Is that because you included the barrel nut? How much lighter is the wave 2 handguard actually compared to the 1? Did you get the weight minus the barrel nut? Thanks

The Wave 2 hanguards were lighter than the Wave 1 rifles.. Not too shabby. If BCL made the barrel nut with Al, that would certainly shave off more weight also.

They're no SLR/CF/OW guards, but the OEM ones work.

Is replacement of the buffer tube required to install a magpul PRS ?

Yes you will have to replace the buffer tube to do it unless you want to modify the PRS to make it fit. Depending you which generation PRS stock you have (I am running a Gen3) I currently have a Armalite rifle length receiver extension and the stock fits perfectly.

Hey thanks for the reply.

Would something like this work ? And would i need a new spring and buffer as well ?

No that one wont work. Its the same one that is already there. You need a Rifle Length Receiver Extension and yes if you will need a new spring and buffer.

One thing to be aware of at least I ran into this with 2 different receiver extensions was your buffer retainer pin will no longer be captured. I think its slight milling differences in the BCL lower receiver. The rifle still runs without it but when you strip the gun apart the buffer will come flying out.
