Screws are not meant to resist force in that directions. I've encountered several rifles that had a thread-in bolt handle (not the knob, but the shaft that threads into the bolt body) that had the handle break off. That includes a Cadex Tremor.
On .22LR.....might not happen because there's never really that much force to begin with. But on rifles with bigger cases that require more force for initial extraction.....much more likely.
Remington (silver solder), Tikka (dovetail), Savage ('keyed'), etc <-- they all have a 'drive' feature
Maybe being .223 it's less of an issue. But still not a good design feature. And also very likely to come loose at the very least.
