BCRA Provincial SR Championships.

Boys I don't think Iam going to be able to make it out, looks like I going to Quebec that weekend to visit the old lady.

Dave.

What time does the walk backs start on Fri June 4th? And how many, 2 or 3
The schedule says 0800.
Thanks And see ya Friday:D

Never having been, but planning on coming up there this weekend, is it much of a challenge to find the range itself, once on base?
I mean, I've never been to the base, so is there ample sign-age to direct us greenshots?
Also, I've been told that BCRA/DCRA memberships will be sold on site?
Is that correct?
And though I'm not sure how it will go over, I'd like to bring my Enfield as well as an M4 variant to run with!
Anything over 300 and I think I'll stick to the M4!
Thoughts, advice, admonishments?

From the base the range is about 30 KM up Chilliwack lake rd, just past the fish hatchery.

Having just spent three weeks running an M4 at a competition I would rather shoot the Enfield for anything over 300. That being said it is not golf, pick a rifle and run it for the day.

Yes you should be able to get a membership on the day you show up.
About 21km up Chilliwack lake rd. over a wood bridge, fish hatchery on left side, up the hill,at the top of the hill on the right side is General Vokes, there is a large concrete memorial & chain link gates....Along with a little Gard shack and outhouse at the entrance!
Its going to be a LOT of Fun!

I got a membership when I went last year. Bring Cash or Cheque.

Bring a lunch and water for the day or whatever you need to keep going. They usually don't break for lunch on account of all the shooters and the relays. A pack to carry your ammo and gear is always good.

I'd stick with the M4 as that's a lot to shoot with the Endfield.

2010 Service Rifle info

Click the above link for info on all the matches, so you can have an idea of what's going on. And if you have Electronic Ear muffs those are great too so you can hear the commands and descriptions of the matches.

Hope to see ya there!

Thanks for the tips guys!
I've been digging around the house for bits of gear!
The lunch is a great idea, I probably would have forgotten!
Admittedly, the Enfield would be a handful for a full day of shooting, but I really enjoy shooting it and have zero time on the M4 I'm bringing. So that should be interesting! And yes, as Gunnerlove stated the No.4 would probably do much better past 300 than the M4! I just don't know how well I'd do!
Gunnerlove, were you down in AUS with Longshot, pushing borrowed 14"s?!
Anyhow, looking forward to the controlled chaos to come!
Hope to meet some CGN's in the real as well!
T.

Yes he was.Not sure how much 126 rds of .303 would cost but I have .223 for you to use so that might be a $ factor. At any rate you're going to have a good time.If it were me I'd leave the enfield at home this time.Shoot it once with the M4 and then make some decisions about what you want to use next time.Yes the M4 will be a problem past 300m but are you going to notice? Will it be worse than a .303?Probably not.
