BCRA Tac rifle August 3rd Nanaimo

I have booked the range for the 3rd of August in Nanaimo. We will be doing the NSCC Sniper matches as we have a few guys that are going to Connaught. We will modify the matches slightly as we obviously don't have the yardage unless we put on the Ghillie and go to Heal's. We will start sometime between 1000 and 1030 this will allow the mainlanders to get here in time.

One thing of note, as this is not a Championship, just a misplaced regional. You will require the full BCRA/Limited Associate DCRA membership which is $75, if you have already purchased an Associate membership we can just upgrade it for the difference.

There will be a $40 entry fee payable at the match. There is still a ton of swag left and you will get your $40 back in prizes. I also have a voucher for $350 off the purchase of a McMillan stock. We will draw a name out of a hat to see who takes it home, otherwise I might as well just mail it to Longshot and we can all go to the pub instead.

Once this all wraps up we can go for chow and some Rum.

We can prop you up on the firing point with pillows and bubblewrap, just use the 223 instead of the 308.

Do what you can, at least CFSC/NSCC/CFSAC doesn't start until September 3rd.

You should take her to a resort in Parksville for the weekend, with a stop in Nanaimo on Sunday.

Here are the directions.


From Departure Bay Ferry Terminal:
Keep heading south along Stewart Avenue. It terminates and becomes Terminal Ave (The Old Island Hwy 4).
Keep heading south across the bridge into 'Downtown'
At the Comox Road Intersection...(Howard Johnson, and beer and wine store)
Make a right. Head up Comox Road (which becomes Bowen Road).-Stop at the Tim Hortons. Then keep going over the train tracks .
Make a left at Wakesiah. Drive along wakesiah until you pass the college, and continue driving along the Nanaimo Military Camp fenced boundary.
Make a right onto Nanaimo Lakes Road (4-way stop). After driving past the resevoir and RIGHT after the hydro lines Right of Way, There should be a turn off to the right into what seems like a residential road. (it may say nanaimo military range). Thats where the range is. If you are lost. the range is right beside the hydro lines rrw so. you know it'll be close by.

If you are on nanaimo lakes road and drive past the nanaimo fish and game club, you've gone too far. Or drive to the club and ask for remedial help.
