BCRA Tactical Rifle Championship 2011?

Well I started planning (right after the match last year), building, practicing and even reserved a camp spot at Sunnyside.

I even have a guy in ON making me a moving target system (haven't got it yet) to practice with.

Found out yesterday that I won't be able to make it........

That is the definition of a piss off.....

Have fun guys and enjoy the meal :D

BTW, JL is going so he can be your medic this year ;)

BBQ Saturday Evening

On Saturday after guns are put away and you wash your hands it's time to eat. Oh yeah.. the target markers need rides to get back to Vedder rd, volunteers drivers required, then... its time to eat. Thanks to Highland Rescue and Safety Ltd it is BBQ time at the Range. To help move things along we are bringing in Smoke and Bones BBQ http://www.smokeandbones.ca/. No waiting for the coals to be ready and this frees up the organizing committee to actually enjoy a cease fire. Thanks JL for your work on this. Make sure you join in. For me it is one of the few times I get to hang out with a bunch of cool guys that aren't firing towards me :).

Your Assistance is Requested.

Please post your reply to this in the Course of Fire theread if you can assist:http://www.canadiangunnutz.com/forum/showthread.php?t=583305&page=2

As in past years, our Target Markers will need rides to and from the range. The 12 or so markers are arriving at Fred's Bait &Tackle on Vedder Road in the morning. Can you swing by on your way up and pick up some of the markers?
Friday, Saturday and Sunday the pick up time for the Markers will be 7:50am.

Please note: The shooters are to be ready at the firing line at 0900. This is a change from the registration form as per the Match Director.

Please let us know if you can P/U some of the kids/markers on your way to the range. The markers are a vital part of the shoot and we can not do it with out them. We cannot start until the Markers are at the range. Thank you for your assistance in this matter.
Assistance will also be required to drop them off at the end of the day.

What's the total round count? I can't make this year's match but the idea of a 3 day match sounds really appealing. Is the 3 day match here to stay?

How many competitors have signed up this year? Can anyone confirm whether it will be a 3 day match next year, because if so it will be worth my while making the trip.

Hope you guys made it past the slide just on the West side Hope. Last I heard, Highway 1 closed between Hope and Minter Gardens/Rosedale. Traffic a mess anywhere going past there.

I just heard about that, I guess if things get desperate people will have to head up #1 and come around via Pemberton. It will make for a long night and a tiring sight-in day.

On the news they said if all goes well should be cleared by Midnight Thursday. The route people are using is Highway9 over the Rosedale Bridge. Aggazi Rosedale Highway I think it is called. Pemberton is not worth the drive.
