it is made of alluminiumand is loaded with a special
20 gauge blank shot shell. u pull the saftey pin and
ram it in whatever is attacking u. it self cocking and fire
the blank is loaded with 4f black powder. pretty impressive. perfectly leagle.

Basically a shark stick that is made legal via loophole. Good idea.

I havent but i have sprayed it at racoons and even got a wiff of it and i couldnt breath properly and was burning for hours...

Regardless its better than a Knife...no fun trying to stab a bear while hes chewing on your arm

No offense, but the thing is that advise that you gave about a bear based on your raccoon experience, may endanger somebody's life.

The worst part about bear spray is the possibility of getting the stuff in your eyes. The effects can last for months or may even be permanent. If an individual is concerned about bear security and they are a nonshooter, they can either get a 12 gauge pump and a case of slugs and practice until they are all gone, or they can hire someone who is competent in bear security while they are in the back country.

A knife is only useful after the bear is dead. If you are attacked by a bear and you are armed with only a knife, you put yourself in a situation that will only be resolved in your favour by divine intervention. I do not understand why anyone would want to confront a dangerous predator with no hope of survival.

Lets consider why a bear attacks. If it is a sow with cubs to protect she won't stop until you a no longer a threat. If you have encroached on the bear's food cache he'll just add you to it unless you can kill him. If you inadvertently get too close to a bear's personal space he may ignore you - or pretend to, he may mock charge, or he might follow through. Lastly, the bear might make a predatory attack. If he is desperately hungry you will not survive unless you can kill him. None of these scenarios sound like something I would like to address with a knife.
