Bear Reintroduction

Ive seen bear tracks in west lorne area about 10 years ago. Sow and 2 cubs. London police ended up shooting the sow i think.
Theyve been down here before and will continue to move

A different city in the West has a persistent problem with black bears following along a major river, through the boonies, under the underpasses, over the byways etc. and into subdivisions. I was reading the other week that northwest Calgary 'burbs have coyotes. I have since lost the picture of a tranquilized moose elsewhere being removed from a Sobeys parking lot using a crane.

This all seems like some post-apocalyptic movie or Chernobyl, but some city-dwellers remain!

Apparently Calgary coyotes have developed a taste for human flesh.

Grizz

Here in sask there’s so many and few people hunt them. The province recently changed trapping regs to allow trappers to harvest all the bear we want. Numbers are still high

There’s lots of bears in Grey Bruce & Huron counties

No need to relocate any to get the population up

What this guy said. Where I deer hunt Grey county , I sometimes have to dodge bear land mines when I’m walking in. It wouldn’t blow my mind that the odd bear would migrate further south.

Lots of coyotes in the big cities out here in Alberta. I see them all the time off the Anthony Henday when I'm passing through Edmonton. Almost hit a moose one night on the #2/216 East off-ramp and there is no bush around that area for it to readily hide in....last year we had a cow moose with a calf walking the rail line through town here in Lloydminster about 100 yards from Prophet River!
