Beard catching in m4 stock?

You'd need to engineer and execute a fold and overlap on the leading edge to avoid adhesive contamination.
 
This regularly happens to me on my Milsig paintball markers. a 13 cubic inch air tank mounts on the back of it with a carstock fitting over top. I'm always pinching my whiskers in it and it friggen hurts. Loudest noise in the world is a yelp when it should've gone bang.
 
I had to resurrect this old thread. I tried the duct tape method, but had problems with stock adjustment and decided to look for a better alternative.

The solution I came up with was to cut a 1 1/2 - 2" section of rubber bicycle inner tube to cover the gap between the stock and the buffer tube. Remove the stock, slide the piece of inner tube over the leading edge of the stock and reattach the stock. Pull the inner tube forward until it covers a portion of the buffer tube.

Now your stock is still adjustable and the solution highly satisfactory without that painful "pull"!

It's called the "Tactical Beard Guard." I suppose if some company was marketing this, it would cost $9.95.

It's the leading edge of the stock between the stock and the buffer tube. The inner tube idea sounds like it would work fine.
 
A real beard doesn't get caught on anything. It should wear a groove for a custom fit. Looks like it's time to shave off that hipster fashion accessory.
 
Oh Jesus. I literally have this problem and thought I was the only one and felt so stupid. I even bought a complete A2 stock (for my 14.5" barrelled rifle!) to try and deal. Thanks for the tip about the bike tube.
 
Solution to the problem would be to shave or quit being a pussy, lol.

A razor hasn't touched my face since 05 for a wedding, never will again if I have anything to say about it. I hate shaving...
 
I like the Magpul UBR/M93/ Ergo F93. Stock slide under the cheek resting area so never have to worry about the beard pinch. Theyre much heavier but the stocks I like. When the CF switched from C7A1 to A2.. Yeah I suffered the beard hair pull.
