Beaver defense thread

jeebus people! 70 posts and not ONE of them suggests using a .50bmg?!!?

we're slipping!

I'm on board with the .270WIN... headshot and you wouldn't find enough teeth to count.

Care to share the recipe? I assumed that slow cooking it in a stew would be the only way. Anyone else have a recipe?

That may taste good too, but the last one that I can remember was just done in the oven in a roaster, just like doing a beef roast. My cuz from the great white north was a trapper and he brought it down on a visit trip and he cooked here at our place! Man, was that good! Even had leftover beaver meat sandwiches for the next day.

Hee Hee! Laugh2 Now to wait for some grass-skirtin', tie-dyed freak with Buddy Holly's used eyeware to poop all over us for...er...disposing painlessly our National Nuisance! OOPS...did I write this out loud?!? :sniper:

I gotta admit...270, 308, 30-06...a lotta boom!

I know where you can get some dynamite. My brother stored some in an abandoned house, about 20 years ago. Can you imagine what that stuff looks like now? I imagine there's a puddle of pure nitroglycerin at the bottom of that box.

got them right here in Prospect lake in Saanich -and down the road,I see where the pond is dammed. They aren;t a problem-yet,its when roads get flooded they are a nuisance. But as with anything-when their natural preditors are removed-nothing is there to control them.

Tried number 4 buck out on the weekend. Got some 3.5" with 54 pellets. That's over 1000 grains of lead! Recoil was impressive.

Didn't work as quick as I had hoped. It does sounds like 22 mag like so many guys in this thread reccomended might be the ideal tool when working on/around the water.

like a loaded gun with a slippery hammer on an unattended table...
None of my business but I would have burned that sh*t a long time ago.
