Bedding a tikka into a wildcat.

I use good plasticine from Michaels craft store to fill all voids and create dams or borders when bedding. It's really firm and makes everything easier.

I'll have to look into that. It would be nice to have something a bit heavier bodied. The stuff I've been using is getting sticky and it smears easily.

Great job man !! Nice and smooth....great pics !
Where did you get the Pro-Bed stuff ?...I've done a dozen or so with agra glass. The last 4were all with Devcon 10110....I like that better than the acglass.

Been reading some good things about the Bed Rock kit from Miles Gilbert(?)...never tried it yet tho. Thanks for posting !!

I got the pro-bed from Gary at Bighorn sales. I have used bedrock, thats when I started using fumed silica, bedrock calls them micro balloons and they come with the kit. I've used devcon as well...never used acraglass.

If I were to rate them...Pro-bed by a wide margin because of the course fibers, then bedrock over devcon by a little. Pro-bed vs everything else is like concrete with rebar...vs concrete without.

Thanks man...appreciate the info !

I have used some of those micro balloons before with the acra glass, ..Buddy of mine gave me some.

..gotta be careful not to breathe them lil suckers in !!
