There are a number of Retailer in The US would willing to do the paper work, and will send these item to Canada, the paper work is not much to do, there are waiting period for it, but don't let any one fool you into thinking that you would have to purchase from dealer only. if you willing to wait for the paper work, you will end up saving several hundred of Dollars, Mcmillan stock cost around $500-600mark US, selling in Canada from certain dealer in Calgary for around $1000. HS cost around $400-500 depend on Option, will sell for around $900. do the math.
I don't mind purchasing rifles stock or bullet from Canadian retailer, to supported them, because that my hobbies, but be honest about it.
I did read from the beginning of this Post and I got to say that people do really think now a day about how their money is best spend, there is nothing Illegal about purchasing stuff from the US side and have it send it back here, or purchasing it from US and declared in the Canada side when you come back, it is illegal in some retailer eye, because losing out on the sales, well wake up and start given better price, not just good service that I am talking about, I was at LA gun shops 2 week ago, and a Nightforce NXS 5.5-22X50 sales for $1499 but here in Canada it sold for around $2000 and over mark, and believe or not, retailer do get a better price than Us do...
So My conclusion is that people have become smarter and do think about how money is being spend, and I for one will not take the BS from some of these dealer, But I do support the honest dealer...
Like I said there nothing here that I see are Illegal, how ever asking some one to look for a large amount of bullet for them when Talking about buying stuff from the US, That is Very Illegal...
