Benelli M4 +1 mag extension

The M4 is made to hold 4.9 3 inch shells hence 4 +1 so it can fit 5 2 and 3/4 in the tube 5 +1, one in the chamber and i think it is one of the only shotgun that can ghost load a shell on the carrier plate all that in full legality, i hunt grouse with 7 shells in my M4, this have permit me to do one 3 birds on the wing shot and 2 times 2 birds on the wing shot, wonderfull shotgun... JP.

When I am done I'll have 6 in the tube, one in the chamber and one on the lifter for a total of eight 2 3/4" shells but will only be able to load five 3" shells in the tube, one in the chamber and one on the lifter for a total of seven 3" shells.

Yes the limit is 5 for a long gun in semi-automatic action and centre fire cartridge. Refer to the Regulation http://laws-lois.justice.gc.ca/eng/regulations/SOR-98-462/page-2.html#h-4 .(PART 4 PROHIBITED DEVICES).
We never count the one in the chamber and we always use the longer cartridge even if you can use shorter shells (2 2/3", 2 1/2", etc...).

Think it's gonna be illegal for a NR... JP.
 
You can legally put an extension on your m4 as long as it holds 5.9 3". You can order one from CTCS. I've seen people do it and I've been thinking about getting one for mine as well.
 
If it so, i will order a couple for myself, i will try to find an official comfirmation of that... JP.

One of the reviews on the extention I bought complained it only added one round, which if true would be perfect as I wouldn't have to make a plug for it. I'll post here after I get it.
