The ones that I shot when they first came out shot very high.
I've had my SBE3 for over 2 years. Initially, I adjusted the comb height following manufacture's instructions and then shot a few rounds of trap until I got the POI that works for me. It functions flawlessly.
Is this shooting high something that can be adjusted out with changing stock shim to add more drop to comb and heel?
So at the pattern board these gun shoot high pattern test standards is 40 yds
My benelli ethos and sx4 shoot high yet when the sharp tail Huns and pheasant rise I hit them sometimes I get doubles and even the odd triple on waterfowl I have never seen these birds flying in a down ward motion . I have shot regulation trap and skeet with these guns and break good scores with them .
So what everyone is saying is they can’t hit bird’s because these guns shoot high

A nice downward wack on top of a bag of lead shot may do the trick solving the problem of it shooting high…
How old were the SBE3's that shot very high?

Unfortunately, unless you use the beads as sights when wingshooting, which is a good way to miss, a taller bead will change nothing. The issue from what I can see, is the rib geometry, and that is not easily fixed. Seeing as how there was no issue with the SBE2, I really don't understand how Benelli made such a screw up, with the SBE3.
This is what I'm hearing from the gun counter sales guys as well...would you buy the same gun again?
thx
The 2 guns I'm looking at is the SBE3 and the Beretta A400...I like the feel of the SBE3 better though
What do you think of the A400?
