Does anyone know if we can buy them here in Canada?
Thanks,
Thanks,
Try "Budget Shooter Supply"
Actually I am looking for Berdans for the 7.62x54r. I read somewhere I needed the .254. Is that not correct as I have no idea? I know it will be a real pain getting the primers out but winter is long and I have lots of time. I will check out Budget Shooters Supply. It would be fun to get some of the old surplus casing up and running. thanks.
rodregier - you are probably correct but it would be fun to try. Budget Shooter Supply does sell Berdan primers. Looks like a chore to get those primers out. hydraulics seem to be the key to getting them out.
hk33ka1 - not sure who makes brass berdan. I have got some brass stuff but it is boxer primed. All my berdan cases are copper flashed mild steel. I just plan on neck sizing it anyway to shoot cast.
Thanks guys.
You know what guys - you are right. Got looking at empties and read this posting below (looks like we are reinventing the wheel). I think I will just buy more boxer prime brass. Thanks.

I do like the idea 209 primers with a round ball for blinking. Sounds like that may be something to try.
