Beretta 1301T vs A300 Patrol

Bullseye sold all sorts of beretta’s, sako and tikkas firearms well below MAP pricing and all of their stock disappeared overnight.
I find it hard to believe they sold every single firearm in various calibers. You can’t even find the out of stock listings either.
I’d be surprised if they will be stocking any of those products again…..

Yeah for sure new guns and they sold alot of different types. But again I doubt they sold shotguns they acquired 3 weeks ago at a loss. So there is room on price for the a300 patrol and people should not be buying them for the prices being asked. The prices will go down if people ignore the bad deal.

Does anybody know if it’s legal to import the LTT modified version of the 1301 from the U.S.?

Probably with all the cost and paperwork / time.

Just look upwards in this thread post # 5) and call Casey at TacOrd. Get one done locally, you will not be disappointed.

Are you familiar with the LTT modified/upgraded 1301’s in the U.S.? Are you able to do the same or similar treatment domestically here?

We have seen many 1301 tactical shotguns here in the shop. We now have 2 of the A300

Ultimate Patrol guns here, took them apart and had a good look at them.
The 1301T is what I would buy even if it was $500.00 more than the A300.

People bought the A300 with the regular price of $1600.

In today’s market, almost nothing drop in price.
I suspect the new beretta 1301 will increase in price as the msrp is $1700 in the US now.

I got mine for $1130 + free shipping. Yes on sale. But many of the shops have their stock viewable. And by and large A300 Patrols are not moving from what I can see. And they shouldn't. The budget version of a gun won't sell well if it's priced 12% lower than the thing its supposed to be a budget version of. Regardless of what the new 1301 costs it won't change that the A300 patrol should be priced around $1300 at the most and sale lower than that. If people want to throw their money away thats their business. But for the most part I think people are being smart and not buying them.

It’s your assumption that people aren’t buying them at the current price. But it’s only assumption.
Beretta rarely go on sale for 12% off and if they do it is usually the same for all retailers. The fact you got your for $1130 suggest that that retailer was probably breaking their arrangement with the distributor (I’m guessing)

So if the price of the 1301 move to $2000, would it make the A300 patrol more attractive?
Only time will tell.
I don’t recall gun prices drop over time. Gun prices always go up.

You got yours at a price no other retailer lists. You got yours from a retailer that does not list Beretta and does not have any stock to sell. You may have gotten yours at a deal of the year sort of price but nobody else is going to get that price. The suggestion we should all wait for that unobtanium price is naive at best.

The dealer in question does not have a single listing for any Beretta. I suspect they were looking to get rid of something they don't generally sell. He lucked out and got a price nobody else is going to get.

I feel like this is ALL anyone needs to know if they're considering both. I can't think of ANYONE that knows their sh!t when it comes to semi-auto shotguns more than TacOrd.

Interestingly, nor do they have any Tikka, Benelli, Franchi or Stoeger firearms listed online. In store?

It wouldn't make it more attractive as it's still a $1300 shotgun when priced at $1600. Still bad value.

See what I did there.

When most stores post their stock and you can see them not moving for the most part, I think it's a fair indicator that these aren't selling in large quantities like they could be.

It was something they did sell and they had plenty of other Beretta stock. Now whether they've decided to cut ties with Beretta or not is really not my point. I don't work at Bullseye and I couldn't really tell you why they don't have a number of products available that they previously did post sale. But regardless I can almost guarantee they were not sold at a loss when others and myself bought them. Which means there's room to move on the price of these. While I realize people likely won't be able to get them at the price I got mine. I more so suggest people should not be buying these at $1610 or even $1450 on sale. That is not a good price and it is not good value. I believe these could retail fairly at $1300 and go on sale for less. It is after all still an A300 and that's where most other models of A300 seem to be priced.

More interesting they are all owned by Beretta.

A300 patrol arrived in Canada around Black Friday time, it’s barely over 1 month and you are judging on how it will sell based on one month over Christmas where there was a lot of sales?
The fact is that people are buying the A300 even when it’s 12% off at $1400. So clearly people think it’s worth at least $1400. The A300 patrol has $1099 USD MSRP which is around $1450 Canadian.

While I hope you are right that price of the A300 patrol will drop, I highly doubt it and they will probably keep it at the current price point as everything keep going up in price.
Beretta 1301 and Benelli M4 went up in price over time. Even though not that many people are buying benelli m4 due to their price.

Boxing day sales had the 1301 for same as the A300. I have the 1301 only cause I really wanted to do a Terminal list clone build. I had originally thought about just buying the A300 patrol but for the difference in price i decided on the 1301. Also since watching the Terminal list I really wanted to do the clone build as close as I could with parts here in Canada and have not been disappointed.

30% doesn't seem right. Gun stores barely make 20% on firearms. Why would they sell it at a loss especially a new release?

And yea, that is the mystery… only the store would know the answer.
The A300 patrol is msrp at $1610 in Canada but it was being sold at $1130 during box week sales at Bulleyes.
Rest of the beretta shotgun was on sale for 12% off though.

Got mine today. It seems decently well built. Fit and finish on the plastic is not good imo.

I hope I'm right as well. But you are probably the one who is right. If people are paying $1610 and $1450 for them then it is what it is. At those prices this shotgun is not good value and fails as what it was designed to be, a budget 1301. This shotgun is not worth that. And I would encourage noone to pay that. The fit and finish (especially the plastic) is on par with turkish shotguns or worse. My recommendation would be to buy a 1301 if stores want to try and fleece Canadians. These shotguns coming to Canada with a MSRP of $1610 doesn't make them worth that.
