Depends how much you plan to shoot it. The price is great on those right now if you want a fun .40 for a bit of shooting. If you plan to get into high round counts, then it's not a good idea in my experience. My Dept. used to issue the 96D and Centurion, had one member break two locking blocks on two separate Centurion's in less than 3,000 rounds each just by (gasp

) shooting them! Mine broke at just under 12,000. In comparison, my Glock 22 went 32,000 rounds before major failure (and that's a surprise). The 96D is nice to shoot if you like a long, smooth, consistant trigger. And you can't beat the price for a .40 that they go for. I'm not sure where you're looking, but Police Ordnance has the gun and accessories (holster, mag pouch, and belt) for a good deal right now.
