Beretta ARX 160 info?

Dude, its Wild West gun range.

They are the biggest sham of a gun shop I have EVER been to.

I bought my handgun (Mark23) there before, it took almost 2 months to transfer it to me. Then I wasted an entire trip there because they said they had mags for it, but they were for something completely different (not even a USP)

Trust me, Wild west are ALL brainless. ESPECIALLY the management. The women (owner) argued with my friend that there was no difference at ALL between 5.56x45mm NATO and .223 rem. (ya know, 20000 PSI is no big deal right?)

I don't think anyone can blame you for being given the wrong info, but a place like P&D or even Milarm is much more knowledgeable in firearms than Wild West.

Thanks for the 'heads-up'. She is going to be my first phone call Monday morning and if it is true that she has her information wrong, I am defintely going to take my business elsewhere.
She just seemed so sure of herself when I asked her about it, and we had just finished talking about the MR1 as well. I will let everybody know what the real scoop is when I find out.

maybe I should start a new thread and ask people on here if the Robarm XCR is actually a non-restricted rifle. She told me it was and it was about 2400$.
Any of you guys have any info on it for me?

yep, the XCR is a good gun, its been through a couple revisions so all the kinks have been worked out.

Get it from a place like Wolverine Supplies or something.

Like I said before I've had so many horrid experiences with WW that I dont even bother going there anymore.

They are a retail store, they don't care at ALL about the shooting community or firearms.... They will say anything to get your business. You want to go to a good place with knowledgeable people? go to P&D Enterprises, they are sometimes a bit slow to getting to customers, but thats because they take their time and make sure people know what they want and know what they're getting.

I've gotten 3 out of 4 of my guns from P&D and will keep going there.

Only bad experience I ever had is when some "newbie" guy there asked if I was going to buy an Aimpoint for "a paintball gun"... I told him "No Its for the 2000 dollar Benelli I just got from you guys ;) " :p

Where is it listed as Prohibited?

I am assuming based on the fact the only guns in Canada are all full-auto rifles with high capacity magazines , make it prohibited as per the C.C. & Firearms Act, Stoeger Canada sales rep that handles all the LE/MIL sales of the Beretta line stated that the gun is prohibited under the current guide lines.

Does a rifle not available for Civilian purchase still get submitted to the RCMP for 'testing'?

I was thinking that if the rifle is not available for purchase it would not have been classified by the RCMP.
Obviously Prohibited being full-auto....but not 'officially' in the books.

But then again, I'm not a Mil/LE Importer and most likely don't have clue :p

According to what we found in the FRT online datebase at work, the only "ARX 160" made by beretta is listed as Prohibited, if i were you, when this blows over go down there and have a few kind words with the manager.

Prohibs owned by licensed agencies are registered, so yes, they do have FRT numbers.

While they're at it, maybe they could change the name to something without an "A" like TRX (training) or CRX (civillian) the "A" will always be assumed to mean one thing, even if it doesn't (like the "AR-15" for example)

Just in case people were wondering, I did phone today and try and confirm definitively one way or the other if it was indeed the ARX or in fact, the MR1, as people on here are telling me she is mistakenly ordered for me, and..........left my name and number and told the guy I needed her to call me back right away and needed an answer today and..........never got a call back!
Guess I'll just have to call there again tomorrow......sigh.
