Beretta CX4 Storm

Accuracy is about 2" at 50 yards out of both rifles. .

with the right Ammo..;) I've found the my CX4 in .40 is very picky on what ammo it likes.. Factory Winchester is all over the place, and my IPSC reloads (excel) are flying as well.. it likes Montana Gold in a full powder load (again a MG in light power is all over the place as well.)

I have the 9mm version and love it. Its a very light weapon and pretty darn accruate. When I bought it from another guy (wicked deal on it) I tried it out at an outdoor pistol range. On the second clip I managed to bullseye two bottles with only two shots at the far end of the range (30 yards?) using iron sights. It was that easy to get used to firing.

I'm thinking on tossing some sort of optic on it, but haven't landed on anything yet. I have an Eotech on my AR...

Oh - and it breaks down so easily it's not even funny... As to accuracy compared to the AR. Really haven't compared them...yet.

for some reason mine (one of them) likes 124 grainers HP American Eagle. Open sights I can put them close to 1" at 50 yards. Occasional flier but bulk flys into the dollar sized hole. 115 grainers HP shoot better than RN, again close to but not quite 1" at 50. 147 grainers HP bullets are all over the place. MY other one is still at Barry's shop, I got call - its ready but I am not in town for a while. Once I get that custom barrelled one I'll let you guys know how it shoots.

YES!!!!!! after 9 months it's here!!!! I had a non-restricted barrel put on, can't wait to try it out!!!

Looks good Colin! They are a fun firearm. Your barrels finish looks close to the orginal Baretta barrels matte finish. I just installed a non-restricted barrel made by Bits of Pieces on mine but it has a shinier blued finish. I am still jumping through hoops with the CFC to get it's classification changed though.

Cheers!

Having looked at the size of the slide, I am not surprised, it's a fairly beefy bit of metal that has to move correctly in order to work correctly.

I have to say the detail care on this gun impresses me, with the padded stock, the Up/down indicater for the sights, the ease of field stripping. Played at house clearing last night with laser, light and holosight, even with the extended barrel this is a easy gun to use!! :D

The M3 light on the left side rail works nicely with the vertical grip.

All I shoot is my own cast lead 124 grain round nosed bullets out of my 9mm CX4. She likes them sized at .357 inches with full powder loads and will regularly shoot 1-2 inch groups at 25 yards, no leading and plenty accurate for me.

I've got the 45ACP version. I don't think they make it anymore. It is a fun gun and I love shooting a rifle and getting huge holes in the targets! Only down side to the 45ACP version is that I can only find 8 round magazines for it. It would be nice to have a full 10 rounds.

I reload my own ammo so ammo cost is still less than factory 9mm. It doesn't like the 200 gr. semi wad cutters though. Seems to jam up with them so I use 230 gr. round nose. No big deal here.

Also, after putting on a laser and flashlight it won't fit in the factory case! :( I either have to take them off or get a new case for it.

Has anyone found or made a brass catcher for it?

Bits and Pices charges close to 400$ for barrel and installation. To install barrel correctly you need special tool wich is not easy to make. I made my own wrench but it took me a couple hours and some machining and welding.

Hello Everyone
I know this rifle is restricted , but i want to put non restricted with change the barrel
My question is , Where i buy the new barrel , can you help me please
after it is easy to change the categories of the weapon ?

Thanks
Cyril

Bits of pices sells barrels. Not sure who will install it for you - most gunsmiths don't have barrel nut wrench, so you will probably pay for gunsmith to make that wrench as well. AFter that your smith will take care of formalities and one day you get new registration. Takes time though.
