Beretta SL2 Launch Edition

Agreed about the shooter but.

If you have a 2min window for gun malfunction before you are disqualified would you shoot a k80 with a World Cup on the line?

I am by no means a world class shooter but I have shot skeet, trap and sporting clays each season of my life since I was 15 and I'm 58 now so I have some experience with the games and the guns. Lord knows I've owned enough makes and models of almost every description and shot many others fellow shooters owned and to date the only three that have never broken on the line during practice or at a registered shoot, fun competition etc have been my B guns and my P gun. Dollar for dollar I personally feel Browning and Beretta cannot be beat and as much as I like my Perazzi I shoot much more consistent scores with my Browning's. If I was one of those shooters whose main concern is their average I'd never shoot anything but my Browning's.

Seen some things.

Besides all that?

What do you think of the new gun from the big B?

Well I’m a Beretta fan, they just fit me better than any of the other 10-12 brands of over/unders that I’ve owned and shot. Berettas are my go to, I’ve owned and shot most competition models and some field models for many years and I always own two or three, sometimes more. I no longer shoot competitive trap but I did for forty years and I still shoot club level trap weekly and sporting and skeet when I get a chance at another club. You could say that I am a dedicated Beretta fan and aside from the terrific wood on this show gun which could be on any gun I find this gun ugly and I won’t be buying one. I predict that it will be a short lived commercial flop. But hey, if it really turns your crank step up to the counter with dollars in hand. Let us all know how it works out for you.

Just so that no one assumes that I'm a Beretta hater, my sentiments closely align with Ashcroft's in that I've owned many Beretta shotguns both competition and hunting guns and I have a deep fondness for them. Some of they're models have had some problems over the years but you will never make advancements if you don't come up with new idea's but overall they're guns are solid. I hope the new model is a success for them but I won't be buying one mainly because of the aesthics.

They made a run of 50 is the word.

Success will be paid for if they intend to use it for what I believe it is for.

If Beretta can win some titles with that gun then it will sell but until then... I dunno. It's really hard to compete with the tried and true in that price range!

Pretty sure they tout the DT11 as the most winningest shotgun.

That may include the ASE90 forward?
