Beretta ???

I've been shooting a 682 gold E X trap gun like Kenny's for around 3 years. As I recall in the available info at the time the the E X with the high rib was designed for the ATA style of trap, and the low rib E was for international, though I thought I saw a picture of Al-Maktoum holding the E X version after he won the gold. I find it a bit thick in the wrist too but I got used to it. No worries about having to sleep on the couch. My wife bought it for me for Christmas.

I wish my wife would do that. All this talk only makes me want one more

North of 58 is right on. The "X' version has a high, stepped rib.

Have a look in the Beretta "International" site (beretta.com, not
Beretta USA) ... both versions of the 682GoldE are shown.
(And good luck if you think you want a 682 "Limited" !! )

The X version appears to be made for American trap and the other 682 gold E made for international. Now why are reasonably priced used X versions so hard to find ????

How would the gold E do as an American trap gun.???

Well, I wouldn't part with mine. Perhaps those that have them like them too much to sell. I don't go to a lot of trap compititions, mostly just Oilman's shoots. Now that I think about it I haven't seen another E X on the racks at any of them. Lots of Brownings, semi autos, and some P and K guns. Are there many at the big shoots?

At one of the oilman's shoots I was at a friend left his Browning Lightning on the rack while he played some cards. When he went to get it someone had taken it. We had to wait until everyone had put away their guns to realize that someone had left a Perazzi and taken the Browning by mistake. It wasn't too hard to find the guy, there weren't many P guns at the shoot. He was a bit embarassed. Too bad, it would have been a good trade.
