Other than opening the action, I have absolutely no idea how to take it apart. Im assuming its difficult as it has an ejector? PS the ejector is absolutely absurd how powerful it is lol
Take the forearm off and open the action....the barrel comes off when the forearm isnt on
Winchester 1400's once had a reputation for one shot... ;-)
sorry I had to do that...
Wayne Mayes one of the best skeet shooters of all time shot a 1400 for his 12 ga event .
The old CIL's is what I started with: available in all the popular gauges too.
I know all about his firearms and what he used the fact is he used a 1400 and I know all about 1400’s I did win’s warranty work for some yrs replaced many parts on them and yes they are mediocre at best .He started his skeet shooting career in the early 70's, Model 1400's were made from 1964 to 1968 and were noted for a lot of problems. It was probably a worked over 1400 or a later version (obviously it worked well for him), the latest semi he used was a Beretta and he also used O/U's
Yupp I pretty much just started unscrewing stuff...
Unlike the Cooey or Baikal single shots ..... them Sinsinati and many other turkish made single shots have to be taken apart by taking the hinge screw out. You always need a tool/coin to do that. What a pain.
More refined designs (e.g. Cooey 84/840) break apart easily and are better quality at the same price and IMO they handle way nicer too.
What is the best 1 shot shotgun 12ga for bird partridge and jackrabbit. I want it light, wood stock, 28'' barrel with interchangeable chokes maybe? Nothing fancy just something reliable that i won't mind walk in the bush with. I have a Derya now its light but all plastic wich bore me a lot.
Thanks in advance.
