Best 22 for the buck out of the box

Marlin 60. $175 @ SIRMAILORDER

2000 rounds deep in less than two weeks; I've yet to have a problem.

The basic adjustable iron sights give surprising results.. Empty shotshells at 50 yards (standing unsupported) are a breeze- all I did was clean off the packing grease and load up!

Thats my biased veiw after owning too many rimfires and coming back to a winner.
OR.... Buy a $500 rifle and don't enjoy it 'cos you might scratch/break it!

I just looked at it online. I think I kind of like the idea of not reloading a clip.

Keep an eye out for any of the older used Mossbergs.

My 2 mossy rifles shoot better then I can.
From a bench my 46M(b) bolt action hits loonies at 100 yards, and quarters at 50 yards.

Sort of a sleeper collector rifle here in Canada, but in the USA they are starting to fetch quite a price.

The new Plinkster is not so good and is made by another company in Brazil.

I just ordered a Marlin 7000 and Tasco 6x24 scope from SIR today. Does anyone know a good source for spare mags?

I ordered an extra 7 round nickle plated one for $15.95 but would like a spare 10 round or two.

You will love the 7000, the only problem with them is that scope rings slide off of the reciever. When I first got mine I put a Tasco 2.5-10x40 mounted with burris rings and it slid off gauging the reciever the first time I had it out. I traded the Tasco scope for a Bushnell rimfire and used the Weaver rings that came with the gun and have not had any trouble. You may want to use a scope that will work with the Weaver rings that came with it to avoid this problem.

Where could I get the CZ in Canada?

I've been looking over some of the various Canadian sites and so far the best deal I've seen seems to be here...

They are really good guys to deal with. I bought a AirForce from them and couldn't be happier.
