Pussy round? Take a few of these then let us know how it feels.
Regarding the legality of it all...
If you're concerned for your well-being, then it is essential to first secure your premises as thoroughly as possible. This means quality door, locks, etc. Bars on the window look tacky, though, IMO so I wouldn't go that route!
However, I believe if you coated your windows in a mild tint, the tint acts as a layer of film that would keep it more intact.
What will all of this do?
Two things...
1.) Give you more time had something gone down and you needed to react.
2.) Provide more justifiable validity to your case by proving that you prepared more than the reasonable person in taking precautions for your safety as well as your loved ones.
With that being said, I have heard a lot of praise around golden sabres and hydrasoks (sp.?)
F*ck that noise!!! Its my property. Locked doors or not, no one has the lawful right to enter my home or access my property without permission. If it isn't yours don't touch. This constant bullsh*t of turning ones home into a prison or limiting ones activities in the name of "justified defense" is complete bullsh*t. A reinforced exterior on ones home is to deter theft when you're not home, nothing more.
A reasonable person locks their doors and closes the windows. A reasonable person isn't concerned with ignorant "laws" and will defend themselves and their property with the appropriate force and means.
You enter my home without my greetings you're getting shot..

But you have to play to the backwards priorities of the CJS. If somebody is going to break barriers that you have created to get inside, then it's reasonable to assume that they have a weapon capable of doing you harm, as well as the intention of using it.
Best defensive pistol is a .45. As for for home defence, 12 gauge works really well. less penetrative than a 9mm but deadly at close range. Check out what the military and police prefer. the .45 and 12 gauge have been around a long time, there is a reason for that... It's called experience!
Locked doors and windows.
German Shepherds with the run of the house.
After that it's going to get serious and LOUD.
That like leaving guns around when kids are playing guns.
I hope you sleep well at night geologist.
johnson, repeat your post in proper English so that I can understand your insult.
My firearms are stored legally and I sleep very well.
