I like CZ's but honestly, I think they started that rumor about the CZ 75 being the most used 9mm pistol world wide because I haven't seen them in use anywhere. People are simply believing what they hear so it must be true. You for damn sure see a lot of glock's, beretta's and sig's. CZ basically sold that story just like they are selling the CZ Shadow as the gun to use if you want to win production class in IPSC.

All those pistols are great but I keep going to my P226. I think it's a matter of what feels right in your hand. That's the best pistol for you.

All those pistols are great but I keep going to my P226. I think it's a matter of what feels right in your hand. That's the best pistol for you.
The only reason I would say it's possible that the CZ75 is the most issued pistol in the world is because of the rest of the world outside of Canada and USA. I could take educated guesses but have not looked up what all of Europe, Africa, Asia, etc have as common issue sidearms. This could probably be easily checked with the power of the Interwebz if one was so inclined.
I suspect the Berretta 92 is the most issued gun there ever was in a 9mm as don't forget its also called the M9 by the US troops who have bought over 1 million of them as well. There is around 5 different variations of it alone with the FS model like I own built in Italy. The majority of the others are built in the states instead. There are many different armies useing this gun besides the US. Some in the middle east also.
The Russian police forces use it, Czech / Slovakian army and police use it, Tailand armed forces use it, Many US police departments use it or the use the Springfield P9 which is an identical clone of the CZ 75, Turkish police and army use it, I know i'm missing a bunch but it is one of the worlds most issued 9mm pistol. CZs not just filling ya full of s**t bro. Plus, the baby eagle is a CZ 75 clone (not identical), the Armalite AR 24 is also a clone (identical) and the Ukrainian Fort-12 is also a CZ 75 clone (but not identical). Not to mention that all three of these companies purchased the machines from CZ to be able to produce their pistols. On that note, Ukraine issues the Fort-12 to Ukrainian police and armed forces. The list of places that use the CZ 75 on wikipedia is only places that use original CZ 75 pistols. Their not including all the places that use CZ 75 clones. Thats fare to count the places that use clones or otherwise you can only count the places that use original colt 1911s and not all the places that use clones. The Sphinx 2000 and 3000 Series are also identical, and I mean as identical as you can get, CZ 75 clones and they are used by Denmark Armed Forces, Swizerland police, Singapore, Norway armed forces, and Malaysia air force.

The CZ75 nor the Springfield P9 is on the list of issued handguns of any US police force that I can find anywhere. It may well be on a list of handguns approved for personal purchase but that is not the same. The Glock is probably still the most issued in the US although the Smith and Wesson M&P is making inroads and SIG still holds a significant portion of the market share with Beretta in there somewhere - nowhere do I see CZ at all...
The Russian police are now issuing the Baikal Yarygin PYa / MP-443 “Grach” pistol and nobody I have spoken to in the past 4 or 5 years in Russia reports anything at all about seeing CZ75's in the hands or holsters of Russian police - and most of the folks I speak to there notice those kinds of things.
The Thai military issues the Beretta 92 and Thai police have to buy their own handguns so there is no standard there at all - basically just whatever you can afford;
The Swiss Army issues the Sig P220 in 9x19 and I really don't see the police issuing a Czech handgun with such a vibrant and active Swiss arms industry extant.
With only these few very easily accessible searches I can't put much validity in any of the rest of your data either. Sorry - still can't buy that the CZ75 is most issued anywhere...

I voted Sig, but the Ruger SR9 with the Galloway Precision/Ghost mod parts and some polishing makes for a pretty sweet pistol...I'll call it a winner of best bang-for-the-buck with mods.
facts, do a little research outside of Canada. the world is a big place. I know its controversial to think outside of ones borders however its worth doing on occasion.
so many times we base our opinions on our own experiences which are often very limited. Check around and see if you can come up with manufacturing numbers, real numbers, not 'facts' spewed by the salesman at the lgs.
You will be surprised to see what the numbers actually are.
As for best 9mm thats purely subjective anyway and fortunately there are many great ones being made, and we each get to shoot what we prefer.
As for the best, for the money, the CZ gets the highest number of votes, when guys vote with their money.

Just go into Wikipedia and look at the users of actual CZ 75's and then look at Glock. Glock in my opinion has surpassed the number's CZ is still holding on to . They are in service in a lot more countries including the Czech Republic.
Wikipedia is not a source you can bet your life on. Travel the world and talk to end users. Might be surprised at what you find. Mind you most movie watchers do know what glock's are. Not trying to get in a pissing match, just trying to shed some light on reality.
