best 9mm NR carbine?

x2 Thureon Defense, they're expensive, but you get what you pay for. High quality upper and lower. And you don't need any tools to take it apart, they use 2 take down pins like an AR.

Kel-tec Sub 2000, probably the lightest out of the bunch, and it folds in half making it easy easy and comfy to cary in your bag during those long hikes or ATV rides.. And it is also quite accurate, I had 3-4" groups at 100m with just a red dot. Don't worry about polymer, the gun is strong enough.

Cheers.

I am looking for something "better made" than a keltec. I have a su16F and I've had enough keltec honestly. I know they work, but I don't want another keltec, and I don't want to turn this into a keltec argument.

As for the JR and thureon, both look good to me. What's better with the thureon that makes it 300$ more?
Thanks

I would assume better QC. I have a 9mm JRC and have had no problems at all, but a quick search of this site will reveal others with a different experience.
I can recommend it on my experience with it though. Fun carbine.

I have had no experience w/JR.
I own both the TD and Kel-Tec.
TD is heavier but built to last with easier controls - of course that maybe just a training issue.
The TD has parts that can interchange w/an AR ie. lots of accessories available.
Customize to your hearts content....
I have handled/shot the Berreta and it is nice and light with great ergos.
Good luck with your search, just try as many as you can get your hands on before you buy.

What made me choose Thureon over JR was it's simplicity, like I stated before you need no tools to disassemble the Thureon, with a JR the upper/lower is held together by threaded screws, so is the magwell. On the JR if you need to remove the bolt for cleaning you have to remove the buffer tube.

Well if you like AR's you might like the JR

I have been wondering as well, between JR & Thureon, but doesnt the Thureon fit all those AR accessories you show on the foto there with the JR? I'm def. going for .45 first. Then maybe a 9mm in the future. So they Both can take all the AR accessories then ... ?

I like the JR. I have the 9mm. I like that I can easily switch the calibre from 9 to 40 to 45 if I want. I like that it takes all the AR furniture including fore ends which the TD doesn't. It's a fun gun and I've no issues with mine at all.

The Thureon has it's own proprietary hand guard that comes with a picatinny rail kit.

The JR site shows a video that explains how modular the design is.
Bolt head, barrel, and mag well can be swapped out.

Can the Thureon do the same? The TD site doesnt give a lot of detail. It does list the calibres available.
9mm NATO
.45 ACP
.40 S&W
10mm
.357 SIG
