Looking through brownells at their trigger options for the AR and its way overwhelming. Whats generally the best out there? I know RR ones are available here, I'm more looking for whats ideal.

Geiselle is the best on the market.
But...
If you have a stock trigger and you just want a smoother pull just get the JP spring kit and watch your group's tighten up.
JARD & Timmy are good but if you want to do certain thing's they are not designed. Also not intended to be in a service type of rifle.

#1 Geissele DMR
#2 Timney #3 skeleton
#3 Geissele SSA
#4 Mega trigger
#5 Armalite Match
#6 RRA Match

These are my rankings of the best that I have tried , I know alot of people love the Jewel triggers but I`ve never tried one.

I have a JP in my AR and love it.
No creep, breaks crisp, reset travel is minimal.
It is on the AR I use for IPSC
I installed it myself so I'm sure it could be even better if someone with some skills had a go.

Only other trigger I have tried is a stock Stag so I can't compare to the others listed above.

The OP should state what the application is.

Who said Geissele is the best trigger on the market and
what is the opinion based on? Just because it was said so
by the sheep from arfcom and m4carbine???

I think Geisele is a very good trigger, but it can't hold a candle to Jewel.

The only downside to Jewel is the fact that
it is quite difficult to install and adjust.

Chip McCormick, JP, Timney are also excellent triggers IMO.
But again, it largely depends on the application.

Well what Geiselle are you comparing to the Jewel? Also as much as I have heard that Jewel makes a amazing trigger, I have also read that it can break down with high round count, plus its like building a watch with all those gears..!

I like my SSA alot, I will get a match one next and see if I can get make stage two slightly lighter, but otherwise its quite clean. I was impressed by how smooth it was compared to LMT stock trigger which is heavy but sort of clean.

I compared the Jewell to the 2 High Speed triggers (match and service),
the 3-gun trigger (which to me it feels as a hybrid between the above 2),
and the SSA trigger. I did not try the SSF Geisele (full auto).

There were early reports of breakage in the Jewell mechanism,
after HIGH round count,
but I have the feeling that
the trigger was not properly installed to begin with.

JARD ADJUSTABLE trigger review for SEAN;

I just installed a JARD ADJUSTABLE AR 15 trigger in my R 25/AR 10.

The first thing I noticed is that the trigger itself has a wider pad than usual. The wider trigger pad alone makes for a lighter feeling trigger, whatever actual weight it is set for.

The second thing was that the trigger was a bit too long to clear the inside of the [ NON-removeable ] trigger guard on my R25.
@$#$^%^^ ...
out with the Dremel and the Cold Blue.

After that,
what should have been a 10 minute job took three hours.
All those adjustable set screws are a REAL pain to set just right.

The way I set up my R25 / JARD trigger, the take up/slack is so light and short that this could almost be called a single stage trigger. The letoff is very light and crisp, and a “surprise break” is achievable. My JARD ADJUSTABLE kit came with FOUR different weight springs, and stackable washers, so you can set it for just about any weight you would want. Even with the heaviest [ 4 b ]spring, the pull weight is less than any other AR trigger I’ve used.

In the R25, a heavy hammer strike is necessary for reliable primer ignition with the 7.62 NATO ammunition, which may have hard primers. The JARD trigger comes with a lighter, smaller diameter hammer spring, which is NOT replaceable by a regular AR 15 spring. Initially, I was a bit concerned about reliable primer ignition with the lighter hammer and spring that comes with the JARD, however 20 rds of SA 7.62 NATO BALL ignited with no problems, as well as a another 40 rds of various brands of .308 WIN.

I don't know how the long term durability of this system would be, as you are relying on loctite to keep those set screws from creeping out of proper alignment.

And because of all those "adjustments" and screws, I don’t know if I would trust this on a serious rifle. But, for target use on the one way range, the JARD sure feels nice.

My opinion is based from using it and comparing to the other triggers I own, whats your opinion based on?

Same thing with the Geiselle or any adjustable trigger, how well it works comes down to how good you are at the install.

The Timney one piece is the best no brainer trigger that I have ever used, nothing to adjust and super easy to install and works perfect for any AR application.

This suggests that you haven't installed a Jewell - it's like re-assembling your father's watch after taking it apart.

The reward is an excellent, highly-adjustable two-stage trigger, and you only have to put it together once, but it is nothing like any other AR trigger and certainly different and more challenging to install than a Geiselle.
