Best AR's in Canada?

I wasnt at all impressed with the C7 when i was in. I spent my money on a DDM4v5 and dont regret it one bit. A solid tack driver all day long.

Wait for a colt Canada AR to show up on the EE for $1500. I bought a couple of unfired SA20s and SA15.7s around that price. I put an iur upper on it. It's a tight rifle.

You saying that KAC isn't a proven workhorse?

Colt makes a top quality basic AR

KAC makes a top quality enhanced AR

With Knight's you get more features already build into the rifle.

For example:

Ambi Safety
Ambi Mag Release
Ambi Bolt Catch
Enhanced Trigger Guard
Enhanced Bolt carrier and bolt
Enhanced Gas System
Improved Flash Suppressor
Modern rail system
LMT Adjustable Stock
Sling Swivel Cups built in
Front and Rear BUS
Enhanced Charging Handle

No KAC is definately top shelf and is proven, however some of the lower priced brands will still run like a top and perform flawlessly.

I was in the exact same place about 4 years ago. I ended up buying a KAC SR15. Since then I've purchase a second SR15 and the SR30 from KAC (distributed by One Shot Tactical) and I have never regretted it. Worth every penny.

You can't go wrong with a CC, but KAC is the best!

I've owned multiple KAC'S, LMT's, DD'S, Noveske's, Armalites, and a JP. I have been issued Diemaco in the CF and as a LEO. I'll swear by my CC, the same way I'd swear by my Glock. However, in the same way a Glock is an amazingly reliable and functional tool, it is not a CZ Shadow 2.

The problem with the C7 is the optic, the 50,000 rounds down the barrel or more, before you shot it, the horrendous over cleaning that occurs in the CF, and the MCpl shouting at you while your trying to shoot it.

If CC was that good more people would be buying them. All patriotism aside they are always in stock in every place because most people would rather other brands of AR's. That is what I think

C7's get abused (guys scrape the carbon off the crown for inspection, fall on it, drop it, pound the cleaning rod through the barrel, ect). I've had ones that shot as good as anything out there and some that did not, condition varies.

I've owned Norinco, Armalite, SGW Olympic Arms, Eagle Arms, Bushmaster, Colt, Colt Canada, and HK. All are gone except the Colt Canada and HK guns, if that tells you anything.

Well on the CC and HK are the good guns in that list lol. The others are low end.

OP are you asking for in Canada because you want to buy Canadian made or you want to keep it in the economy etc? Because there are far better "bang for the buck" and choices in the U.S

There's some sound logic, look at the big players who purchase Colt Canada Rifles, Great Britain for example. Do you think that the SAS/SBS/Pathfinders were handed the C-8 and told to make do?

Those unimpressed with the C-7, do you really think that a KAC/LMT/DD/etc. would fair any better if put in the hands of the average Infantryman for 5-10 years? If so can you please share some of your supply, I could use a short vacation from reality.
